AND THE AWARD GOES TO...
Male: John Abraham ('Salaam-E-Ishq' and 'Kabul Express')
How does it feel to top a poll like this?
I feel really encouraged. It is a very positive thing. Love of the audience has always been my USP. This poll just reaffirms my faith in them. I just hope I can live up to their expectations.
What do you see in store for you in the year ahead?
My next two years are going to be crucial and I am concentrating on carving a place for myself.
What according to you sets you apart from the rest?
I am trying my best to give the audience something different from what they have already seen of me. Like my next release 'Kabul Express' is very different from the kind of films I have done before.
What advice do you have for those who want to follow in your footsteps?
Just be yourself.

How does it feel to top a poll like this?
I am thrilled — it also pushes me to do better. I am always on the look out for good roles.
What do you see in store for you in the year ahead?
'Black' was the turning point in my career, but my next two releases - 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna' and 'Babul' have been equally challenging. In both films my roles are definitely different from the stereotypical Hindi film heroine. I play a widow in 'Babul' and in 'KANK', I play a married woman in love with another man. Both films deal with challenging subjects. I hope I continue getting woman-oriented roles and can do full justice to them. I will also be doing Yash Chopra's next untitled film with Saif Ali Khan.
What according to you sets you apart from the rest?
I am always looking for more and more challenging roles.
