Today, one of the favourite Bollywood stars, Aamir Khan, completes 25 years in the film industry. From his debut in the superhit film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Aamir has come a long way and has become a favourite of the masses. Here's looking at some of the facts and achievements of Aamir Khan over the years.

1. Aamir is possibly one of the very few child actors who have become successful stars.


2. Not many know that Aamir belongs to the family of Indian freedom fighter (late) Abdul Kalam Azad.


3. Rang De Basanti was selected as India's official entry to the Oscars. Although the film was not shortlisted as a nominee for the Oscar, it received a nomination for Best Foreign Film at the BAFTA Awards in England.


4. Lagaan was selected as India's official entry to the 74th Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category.


5. In a world where every big film tries to touch the Rs. 100 crore mark, Aamir Khan is the lone contender in the Rs. 200 Crore club with his iconic hit film 3 Idiots.


6. In April 2006, Aamir had participated in the demonstrations put up by the 'Narmada Bachao Andolan Committee' with Medha Patkar after the Gujarat government's decision to raise the height of the Narmada dam.


7. The Government of India honoured him with the 'Padma Shri' in 2003 and the 'Padma Bhushan' in 2010 for his contributions towards the arts.


8. Aamir has featured on the cover of Time magazine twice in September 2012 and April 2013 issues. He also topped the power list of India Today among Bollywood. (Aamir stood 14th while Salman stood 19th, Big B 21st and SRK 25th)


9. His TV show 'Satyamev Jayate' has been very successful.


10. He was appointed as national brand ambassador of UNICEF to promote child nutrition


11. In 2007, Aamir was invited to have a wax imitation of himself put on display at Madame Tussaud's in London which he declined.


12. Aamir Khan is the only Bollywood actor to have met British Prime Minister David Cameron in New Delhi recently.


13. Aamir has not only managed to impress his fans in a big way but Hillary Clinton was also all praises for him on her visit to India.


14. Aamir is probably the only Khan in Bollywood, who has excelled in being a director, actor and a producer!

I can bet my life ...that not even .00000001 % of those tall enough to ride that ride would be ever big enough to be in the Times list or meet the President of the United States😉...How is that??😉😉
