So would they be classics then ?

Can the other millions of people mouth them off too? I doubt it. So no.😆

Clerks was a simple film based in a gas station and made on a shoe string budget. But people remember it to this day. That is an example of a cult classic. AAA, DCH, Jaane Bhi Do yaaron fit that mold, they are not just my favorites. JWM needs more time, its only been 6 years since its release. So the jury is still out. But I'm more inclined to believe that if any among JWM, LAK and Rockstar hit the cult film status decades down the line, it would be JWM.

There are yuppies and film buffs who rent a movie
devoid of masala chat too and there will be
later decades down the line.

Theyre qoing to quote how Ranbir blew the competition away
in acting and the risk a young actor took with a non masala
role.

!!!!

Imtiaz is the kind of director if he has to keep making movies
to only please the audience he will rather leave the industry.

Quotable as in people being able to quote the lines from the film in your every day conversations and NOT how Ranbir is the greatest thing since sliced bread in Rockstar.

Do you have a point in that statement or should I run a marathon and come back again?

Here's the lowdown,

Any film that's quotable years down the line is a classic, cult or otherwise.

For example, the old Golmaal (the one with Amol Palekar, duhr) was released decades before I was even born, yet I can watch it over and over again to this day and still enjoy it. What's more? I even remember some of the lines. Same goes for Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, Andaz Apna Apna, Dil Chahta Hai and for a lot of people yes *shock* *horror* Jab We Met.

Can you say the same about Rockstar and Love Aaj Kal? A line?A scene? Anything? That stays with you throughout the years? It is a rhetorical question.

Now digest that. Please and thank you. ☢️

LAK lines were lame
"Main tumpe PILE ON nahi karna chahti"
"Delete kar Meera"

🤢
Hated Saif in the "aaj portion" loved him in "kal" as the sardar.
And the dialogue delivery by Deepika was atrocious to say the least.

I am not sure what people are arguing so much about? Kareena said LAK and Rockstar were great but JWM is like a classic; but the thing is so what? Kareena think it's a classic, so maybe it is for her. Some people will consider it one, other may not. I don't understand the hoopla around it, but hey, maybe that's just me. 😆

Anyway, in my opinion SNT & JWM > LAK and Rockstar. The latter two put me to sleep. >_<

The point is KAREENA said it.
Now had some other actor made the same statement about another film, certain members wouldnt mind. 😆
