Saif might have got SRK's award once but what abt SRK getting undeserving awards yr after yr ?? Why the hell did SRK won for KKHH,DTPH,DDLJ,baazigar over sanjay dutt's khalnayak,aamir's rangeela,ajay's zakhm and many more 🤪 SRK's hand arent clean either that his fans would point others dirt !

You and i may find SRK's Swades as the best thing... But another member may not have the same opinion...
What i am trying to say is not everything has to be abt bias... People can find Saif's performance better than SRK's even without the bias... It can be a subjective opinion...

There is a difference between the common movie goers preferring Katrina over PC,Sri and Vidya vs a jury of experts preferring Kats performance over PC,Vidya's and Sri's performance🤣...Big difference maddy...big difference...right now everyone is clapping for Saif because its a subjective decision...but anyone saying that Kat is better than Sri in acting because its subjective will be eaten alive by these same members who are clapping for Saif...who are we kidding by the use of the word SUBJECTIVE here😉😆

And I am not saying that SRK was the best that year...but definitely better than Saif...if that makes me biased...it will make 90% of the other Indians biased too...who thought SRK was better than Saif...😆

And no it doesn't even it out because Saif didn't win for Omkara...someone else was robbed of their Natl. award that year because Mommy darling played favorites that year...🤢

True. If only they could have held off the politicking for 2 years and managed the NA for Omkara, there would not have been so much fuss. But then 2 years down the line there was no guarantee that Sharmila would have been on the jury panel

Awards are awards...and in India, most of them are fixed...be it star screen, ff or na.

Why are people surprised for saif's win? Even Raveena Tondon won NA for best actress for her role in Daman. How? That year her maternal uncle was in the committee. Ms. Tondon edged over Karisma Kapoor, who was also in the race...i think for zubeidaa or for fiza. So what matters is not just the performance, but also connections!

ps - i m nt inviting any debate here, if raveena was better than karisma or vice versa...i just cited that as an example.

You're trying to compare apples to oranges. It doesn't work like that. Filmfares and Stardust and Screen and all are popular awards given out by magazines. A film generally has to be popular and well-liked before awards are given to it. There are lots of stupid wins like Hrihik for Dhoom 2 and Salman for Dabangg and many, many others like that including SRK for movies like KKHH.

Most people don't even remember films like Zakhm so you think Ajay would win an award for that in popular awards like Filmfares? Aamir for Rangeela could have never topped DDLJ. Even bringing that up is hilarious. 15 years later, DDLJ is still a favorite film for loads of people, Rangeela had faded out.

National Awards are not supposed to be like that. A jury of experts makes that decision. Filmares are like 50% public votes. The magazine comes with a form you're supposed to fill out and mail. You would never see small, boring movies winning cause people don't enjoy them. A pool of experts voting is supposed to be different.

Even if I didn't like Saif winning, it would be fine and I wouldn't complain if Mommy Dearest wasn't on the jury. Only in India can people come up with excuses for that kind of win. Arjun and Priyanka won and they were nothing special either but nobody complains about them because it wasn't a dirty win like Saif's.

THANK YOU!! That's exactly what I wanted to say...FFs and stardusts are NOT National Awards. National Awards are prestigious and much more respected than the likes of FFs. But of course, people won't get the point...
