I personally liked the ending but i knew over all it would be trashed as most of us like to live in la la land that who does wrong does not succeed in life- seriously when does that ever happen? we have so many cases where extra marital affairs have happened and despite being at mistake people have lived their lives! so why not show the same in movies when we demand so much of reality from cinema- why cover it up with a fairy tale showing how bad get punished etc!

and looking at the positive abjr and preity got a better deal at the end- rani and srk were more like partners in misery!

anyhow cinema should not only be for morals- its okay to show what actually happen in our society and that is the truth-such cases like rani and srk do happen

i didnt particularly have a problem with kank's story or ending...i dunt think they put across a message saying "cheating is okay..."...it was more abt making the right decisions when marrying someone in the first place if not, u will be in for a lot of shit if at all u meet the love of ur life after ur wedding...it was basically saying tht marriage must be based purely on mutual love and not friendship, long standing acquaintanceship or compromise, if not, u would be wrecking many lives..not just urs...and tht when ur not in a fulfiling relationship, its better to end it rather than make ur partner suffer under false pretences...

Even I feel the execution could have been better. I have no prob with the story or the characters. SRK's character was meant to be irritating. And not everytime the wrongdoers end up being punished. I don't find the film as crappy as people here make out to be. Come on there are crappier things in BW 😆

haha! well first time i watched it (on dvd) i was so bored by the end that i didn't even concentrate, i initially thought abjr and preity get married at the end but later realized its with different people

Anyway they showed how all of them get married initially through their own will but how their marriage goes wrong later- also they showed that the couples were totally different

srk- anti social

preity - a complete socialite

abjr- a party monger

rani- a total anti social

Exactly...SRK's character was supposed to irritate the hell out of you...and he did a very good job ...I am his fan but in this movie he was so irritating at times that I could have slapped him😆😆...I don't think SRK's performance was awful...the character he had to potray was awful...there is a difference...If a character that is meant to annoy the audiences...annoys them...how can it be awful...although the movie was rotten for me...SRK's performance was topnotch⭐️
