That part of the movie didn't gel with me. At least show her as a career woman handling marriage and kids, not just a boring housewife. KJo and YRF films seem to do that to women. Even if female characters start of strong, they end up becoming second foil or dependent to the men. I think its about time movies gave equity to men and women. The modern desi woman still values family a lot, but she no longer conforms and changes per her husband's whims.

Btw what sin did Shruti do in the past that she paid for it by becoming a housewife? If anything else she was cheated out of a chance to win the competition. Also what sort of competition doesnt have cameras to monitor cheating?
