Imtiaz Ali gearing up for Randeep Hooda-Alia Bhatt's HIGHWAY

More than a year after ROCKSTAR, Imtiaz Ali is now gearing up to get going with HIGHWAY. However, despite the relevance and the significance of the film's title, he isn't going on an overdrive. Instead, he is taking his time before he summons his actors and starts calling the shots.

'That's the way he works. If at all he would have been a man in hurry, he would have signed half a dozen films after the success of JAB WE MET (2007). However, he waited for a couple of years before releasing LOVE AAJ KAL (2009). Post that he waited again for two more years for ROCKSTAR (2011) to arrive. It wasn't planned that way for the Ranbir starrer but no one lost patience on the film,'' says a close associate.

For HIGHWAY too, which he is doing with Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt, he isn't rushing up things.

'He and producer Sajid Nadiadwala are sure that they would be bringing the film on floors soon. In fact for Alia it would be a double whammy since she is currently also shooting for Nadiadwala's 2 STATES. Ditto for Randeep who has a good role to play alongside Salman Khan in his KICK which would also be directed by Sajid,'' informs a source.

Now with HIGHWAY expected to go on floors soon, one waits to see if Imtiaz manages to keep his record intact as far as releasing one film every two years is concerned and ends up bringing it on-screen this year itself.

What did Randeep do in the past few months? Suck up? He is in a lot of upcoming movies...

KJO...😉...LOOL>>>...Mahan KJO hjas bagged him two films...and cant belive some ppl r compalining about Mr Hooda paired wid an "weird actress"...ppl will watch the film for Alia...many of them...to those ppl feeling is mutual...very painful 2 see🤢...Alia paired up wid him...just want alia 2 act properly..abb kya kaare...😕..whoever she is paired iwd..😭

Mismatch. Alia will look like Randeep's little sister basically.

Anyway I hope Imtiaz brings out the talent inside Alia if there's any because she was terrible in SOTY.

Imtiaz Ali is overrated anyway. JWN was good . Socha Na Tha sucked. LAK & Rockstar only music was good.

HE ALSO NEEDS A FRIGGIN HAIRCUT

Thanku...someen said he is overrtaed..hain na?..only JWM was good...and the msg of LAK was good although i understood when i watched it the 3rd time bcs i dint know wht the hell was happening..😕

Is this movie about child labour or something?

Well since it has Randeep in it, it might have somethign to do with child molestation, which i hope is not the case. Thats pretty much what its goign to be if he touches her in the movie, Which he probably will.
