She reminds me Miley Cyrus. Disney autotuned the f**k outta her to make money on Hannah Montana. Her voice when " you get the limo ride" = PC's voice "Comeon to my citayyy"🤢

Plus, you'd think PC would put INDIA in her song, but nooo she put a lame ass auto behind a firangi. What a despo!

I actually think Priyanka's music deal is only for her to have music in "INDIA".

Because everyone in India (or at least most of the youngsters, most, not all) like those wanna-be angrezi lyrics that Priyanka has in her song. They probably think its so "Kool" and thats why the song went platinum there.

If its singing that shes so passoniate about. Why doesnt she release an album in Hindi? She knows no one is going to buy it and it will flop. Thats why shes doing it in English so it can be the "kool" thing to do.

Hard Kaur is more a singing artist than her for god sakes 🤣

Yikes, what's all the rage about? It takes a long time for many music acts to break through. Nobody really knew about Jay Sean either until Down and before that, he had been singing and putting out records for years. I'm talking about the mainstream, not desis who knew about him or a small following in the UK.

There is the occasional overnight success story but it's rare. The voice isn't that important either. Yes, there are people like Adele and Mariah Carey but there are also others with much weaker voices like Britney and Madonna. It's about what kind of songs and beats you're able to get from your music producers and collaborators. If it's something crowd pleasing, it has a chance to work even if you're not a great singer.

There's no guarantee that Priyanka will make it but she just started. It's too early to call her a failure. What glee do people get from seeing someone fail anyway?

Nobody is goign to happy with her failure (or success). Nobody cares that much.

Its just about not being delusional and making smart career choices. Obviously she is never going to be Rihanna or Beyonce. So why bother? and if she does want to sing so badly, why not in India? why does she have to go "international" (barely). For what?

lol, there is no way in hell Priyanka will find success in the American music market. No way. The competition is huge, and most of the Indians who even manage to make a dent in the American charts actually have talent. Jay Sean is a perfect example - the guy can sing, write, and produce; that's why he's found success. Also has anyone heard of Goldspot? They were/are this amazing band (of Indian descent), had a really good single called Friday years back, they got a huge amount of critical acclaim in the US and UK but didn't make it to the charts; if they can't make it to the charts, Priyanka definitely cant/wont. They got into the UK alternative, and Asian charts but that was it, they didn't do well at all, commercially in the US; and their music was even used on popular shows like the OC so they had exposure but didn't pick up.

Oh I know Goldspot

There were a couple others who tried as well. Even Punjabi MC had that song with Jay-Z, even though it was a remix, they got TONS of exposure and airplay. That song is sometimes played today! But it did nothing for them. After that one song, poof, gone. And they are already HUGE in the Punjabi Community.

At this point, other Indo people like Anjulie has more chances than Priyanka. Both of her songs have got a lot of airplay.
