I haven't been following the entire thread. I was specifically talking about my post and the response to it. Although there have been instances of people shifting the blame to his driver.

Don't give me the "homeless" excuse, then this becomes a national issue. Point is, I don't know whether Salman was drunk or not, but this case--by no means--is a homicide; it's an accident and unfortunately, people thought the streets were their home and ended up facing the wrath.

On Salman's part, he should be charged for rash and drunken driving, but if there are people sleeping on the STREETS--of all places--India has to answer.

Homelessness is not an excuse but a reality. If you had ever been in India then you'd have known. People do sleep on streets and footpaths. Salman or his driver must be knowing the reality of the situation on streets. So their lack of consideration was wrong.

India is what it is and the issue of poverty, homelessness would be resolved when it has to. Cases of rash driving aren't going to be excused.

You may find this outrageous...but its a thought!!From what the media reports...even the six guys accused of the delhi- gang-rape case are repentant abt what they have done. They dint know that things could go bad to this extent and they dint realise the gravity of the crime they had commited and they r sorry for all of it n actually prayed for the girls health when she was hospitalised! Its funny how viewpts differ jst coz a fave superstar of the masses is involved in a crime.

Pls note: Both are grave crimes ..n in both cases, the victim suffered n died!!

PS: I am NOT comparing those six guys with god aka salman ..i m hypothetically comparing the situations..coz both cases r under trial , of grave nature n victims died brutally in both cases!!one case generated hysteria for the victim..the other shock coz the accused was the GOD himself!

we shud know a crime is a crime ...PERIOD!!
