John is too old to play this kind of young generation role. He should have casted a young actor in this movie. A 40 year old acting like a 20 year old is so not cool.

but that's like every actor in bollywood: Salman, Akki, SRK, Ajay, etc...nothing new in that.

This movie is indeed about our generation. It's exactly like wake up sid and that kind of roles require young actors and we have never seen the khans or kumars or devgns do a movie like this or wake up sid. It really needs a young actor. Someone like imran khan, ranbir kapoor, varun dhawan, siddarth malhotra you name it.

SRK played a young man in JTHJ and almost all the actors tend to get paired with actresses much younger than them.--I meant it like that. Besides, John plays a carefree music producer in the film--agree the vibe from the trailer is very young generation, but it's a rom-com and not all rom-coms need a "young" actor with a "young" actress. let's see how the final product really is.
