Shootout at Wadala's trailer was released on YouTube today.

Directed by Sanjay Gupta, Shootout At Wadala is a sequel to 2007 film Shootout at Lokhandwala, that revolves around the life of the famous gangster Manya Surve.

The film will dramatise the first-ever registered encounter by Mumbai police, where Manya Surve was shot dead, which took place at Vidyalankar Institute of Technology, Sangam Nagar, Wadala, Mumbai on 1 November 1982.

Shootout At Wadala will release on May 1. It features John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut, Tusshar Kapoor and Sonu Sood.

While the trailer has been released on YouTube, Ekta Kapoor has come up with an innovative way of launching the theatrical trailer. It will be launched with live staged shootouts across five cities, simultaneously.

"'Shootout at Wadala' is one of this year's biggest cinematic extravaganzas. We are doing the biggest and first ever five-city simultaneous launch of the film's keenly awaited trailer," Ekta said in a statement.

"Anil ji (Kapoor) and I will be visiting Delhi, while the rest of the cast is taking care of Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Lucknow," she added.

A live shootout scene will take place Saturday at Noida's Great India Place Mall. It will entail a "blast" in a car in a cordoned offarea. Soon after, a live gang-war with stuntmen will entertain the mall visitors.

A similar activity will take place in other cities too.

The promotion has been planned with much thought.

Vivek Oberio is probably one of my fav actor. and I liked him in Shootout at Lokhandwala. He was pretty damn good in his debut film Company. Then came Road, Saathiya, and Yuva. and I thought he was going to be a big star...and I don't know what happened to him after that. Nonetheless, he was brilliant.

Kacha-pakka i dnt knw...all i knw is he's isnot irritating me in dis one...if u watch his ealier movie slike Dostana wostana...u'll notice d diff...he has improved a lot...so he desreves dat appreciation..
and bhai in comparison to his earlier movies he;s good in dis one...m not comparing him to AB Sr...😊..

Bt m badly gonna miss Vivek and Sanjay...der were mind blowing in d 1st part...ahh der killer attitude...👏👏👏
