Hrithik in his element doesn't just overshadow the Khans, he topples them completely. And HR-RR combo has always meant a threat to everyone else at box office (except for Kites). Krissh is still a craze among kids and gets good viewership on TV. In fact it's the main reason for HR's popularity despite doing less films.

But it's true...the hype of other films (especially D3) is greater than K3 as of now. YRF has been teasing media and audiences since 2 years with news and speculations of D3 stuff. Filmkraft so tight-lipped...Not even pics from shooting.

In some way it is good they're not overhyping it so much in advance (at least it will save them from a Ra One like bashing). I hope they bring out something soon to entice audience. A biggie should seem like a biggie!

Anupam Kher is okay. But Danny Denzogpa would've made a great choice. He's awesome even at this age. But maybe they didn't take him because he was also in Robot.

@Naughty_Boy

Whaaatt???!!! Vivek to do an act inspired by the Joker? Oh please! How will he pull it off?

Honestly I think he's also too desi to fit in Krissh. I feel burden of Krissh is entirely on poor Hrithik's shoulders. Cast sounds so meh!

oh yes definitely his craze among the kids is still huge.

ok i agree with Overhyping part but still they need to give some teaser maybe some pic logo ? behind scenes pic something 😕 otherwise as the release starts getting closer and closer people will loose interest fast that it will affect the business of the film a lot. i don't even know how are they going to promote this film their strategy is not so good about keeping everything a secret about the film.

they should get some lessons from YRF about hyping a film 😛 😆

Many old-timers are still fabulous. Dunno why filmmakers don't give them much chance. If Roshans had to take a younger guy maybe they could've gone for John? At least John is hot enough to fit in Krissh! Anyway it's useless to debate the cast. They even took Kangana. What else to say?

YRF hypes like crazy! Still remember their drama over casting of the D3 heroine even though it was mostly known Katrina would bag this role.

At least some itsy-bitsy tidbits should've been released for audience by Krissh 3 team. It seems marketing campaigns will clash with other biggies (like D3). Still it would've been better if they'd begun to build a bit of hype when coast was clear and juggernaut for other films hadn't started.

The Roshans used to be on top of their game from KNPH to Krissh. Kites spoiled it for them. Marketing of KNPH was brilliant for the times of its release and especially for a newbie's film! Hope they have some unique strategies in place for Krissh 3 also.

Kangana ? what is wrong with Roshan's ? 😕 yeah agree John is Fit n Hot for a role in Krish. while vivek looks like a Sukha hua aam 😆

oh boy no can match up to YRF in hyping films nowadays, well i'm hoping this film brings Roshan's back in business, if i get my entertainment with a fairly decent script then i'll be happy

the reason i say Decent script is because right now i do not have any expectations from this film. None whatsoever 😕.

Vivek Oberoi Claims 'Krrish 2' Villain Is Mixture Of Gabbar And Joker

By MovieTalkies.com, 14 December 2011

Actor Vivek Oberoi will be finally seen playing an out-and-out negative character in Rakesh Roshan's superhero saga Krrish 2 opposite Hrithik Roshan and the 'Company' star was understandably quite over the moon, courtesy the role he is playing.

In a recent interview, when asked if his character in the movie was inspired by any Hollywood villain, Oberoi was quoted to have said, "Not specifically, because there are certain colours and certain references from different characters that we all take, like for example Gabbar Singh from Sholay or Joker from The Dark Knight."

Movie buffs will remember that the late Amjad Khan's portrayal of the rustic brigand Gabbar Singh in Ramesh Sippy's Sholay remains one of the most favourite onscreen villains till date, whereas the late Heath Ledger's crazy criminal act as the Joker in by Browse to Save">Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight was widely appreciated by critics and fans by Browse to Save">alike, overpowering even Christian Bale, who played the dark vigilante Batman in the movie.

Script of even D3 may just be decent only (when did Dhoom films ever have any content?). But that film has a better cast and biggest banner. Krissh 3...I never expected it to have much of a script considering even previous films don't have anything to boast of.

The Roshans' previous films were simple enough for desis to lap them up. I hope they don't alienate desis with attempts at going too "sci-fi" this time around.

This film has been in news for 4 years now. It better be good and paisa vasool material!

@Naughty_Boy

Mixture of Gabbar and Joker? Can't even imagine Vivek managing it... 🤢

If poor Hrithik's hardwork goes waste or fails to pay off it will be only due to Vivek playing a mix of Gabbar and Joker.

I'm having difficulty imagining him as this super villain. Yikes! He'll ham to glory! 🤢
