i think so too, srk plays an imp part in makin the yrf stand where it is right now , its true they gave him good movies and played an equal imp part in establishing his romantic aura but i doubt they could hav been this popular as a brand without him... and raj and rahul is only meant for srk to enact ,who can make evry1 fall in love with those characters , oh God his intense eyes used to kill everytime he recited his dialogues

Filmfare roughly just takes the 5 actresses from the Top 5 HIT films of the year.

It is a misconception that it is based on actual performance.

Because, Juhi Chawla's best performance in 1993 was in fact Aaina! But they just chose her biggest hit film! She was not award-worthy for Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke.

Madhuri was far more impressive in Khalnayak. And Sridevi was superior in Gumrah.

But the true winner should have been Meenakshi Seshadri for Damini!

Dimple Kapadia won the Critics award for 1993 for Rudaali - who in my opinion was the second best performance of that year ⭐️

This is quite normal, its usually supporting actresses/actors that sometime take away all the credit.

Whether its Anushka in JTHJ, Karishma Kapoor in DTPH, or Rani in Veer-Zara. The lead actresses have done well for themselves but the supporting cast steal the show!
