I equally agree on clash also. If the star and banner are biggest/global entities then why worry about clash? More importantly, if films are accepted then they both work! Like Gadar and Lagaan released on same date and former became ATBB while latter became superhit. Dil and Ghayal both released on same date and became superhits. Both Welcome and TZP became blockbusters with former outgrossing the other, but both films in top 5 hits of the year.

What's important is content and its acceptance in audience. If they like the film then clash, weather don't matter! Today stars want festive holiday release dates, HAHK wasn't a festival/holiday release!

It was trashed by critics and general people in India when they saw it as they expected more outta his movie and YASH RAJ direction..

Regarding sentiments some said that was a reason true or not i dont know..but what general audience and critics said on trashing it yes

thats such a cheap thing to say !! who says that??😲 salman's movie for me are pure entertainment !! if that makes me hav a low mentality than i feel sorry for those who hav 'high mentality'👎🏼 and classes are not decided by the choice of movies!!its a personal preference!!

Times have changed since then and holidays matter to movies and clashes hinder business in some way!! And worst are media and its expectations!! But bottom line in the end are numbers..

But what outrages me are people abroad look down on stars like Salman and Akshay and when they do well they dont credit them on their success but joke that mindless people see their movies they are non actors etc..

And when brilliant actors like SRK or Aamir dont live upto expectations excuses are made ...like people on india too dumb to get ..but you are right people in india understood 3 idiots but taalash didnt live ip to his hype..now dhoom 3 will come its massy but oh it has Aamir so its classy suddenly ..i just dont like sterotypes plain and simple!!

SOS wud hav never beaten JTHJ evn if yash chopra dint die or SOS was a better movie!! (sry havent seen it so no idea) SRK's association with the movie is enough to pull in the crowds and make it a success ,yash chopra's demise may have made more people pay their respect and watch his last directorial as a remembrance but evn without it i m sure JTHJ would have beaten SOS fair and square
