Well stop this India argument please. Recent Aamir and Salman films broke records worldwide. Not just India. Vedant said SRK could either do masala or a film like TZP. You people trash masala. But what about films like TZP or SRK's own Swades and CDI? Why fans never speak a word on such films? Or is it that SRK fans (especially overseas) want mainly romance from him? So no one's gung ho for a CDI type deal either?

That is the point really. This is the way I see things and I am still sticking to the India argument.

1. SRK films are different. I have always felt he does things in little less than conventional ways so even masala would not be typical masala which I do not like and I know many others who do not.

2. TZP. 3I, Gadar, DDLJ. Stop pushing them over and over. They are films which have risen above actors who play them. They were meant to be remembered either as numbers of as just plain brilliant films made. They happen very very very very very rarely and frankly speaking these will be the films remembered much more than the ordinary 100 crore movies. Whether SRK does them or not, that's his wish. But if you are trying to say by that statement that he is not doing variety, I strongly disagree. We can have another arguement altogether if you wish on that.

3. Swades and CDI. I bet you even SRK didn't except them to be huge successes that would define his career. They were unconventional. EVERY actor has atleast one movie like that. Its brought him numbers above others, what more do you want to discuss? Your current topic is to why he can't bring records now right? Where do these come in picture?

4. Romance - If people say he does romance like no other, I agree but if people say he can do only romance I disagree. YES, I would say that. I know so many foreigners who love the idea of a bollywood romance and the name that comes to them is ONLY SRK. Why? Ask that to random Indians you will definitely get other Khans on that list. So yes, the choice difference matters LOADS.

So in the end I stick to what I said. I am not here to change your opinion but I respect it and I expect the same from you.

Anyways films are not rare (for a star in a commanding position like SRK used to be). He was offered 3I, Robot, Munnabhai MBBS, Lagaan, RDB but he refused them. Two of these films stand as highest grossing Indian films of all time now.

It's your opinion but I do not think any film he did in recent years was different except MNIK.

He did stick to romance - chose KHNH over Munnabhai MBBS, KANK over RDB. He may have done a Swades, Don series, CDI but time to time has continued to belt out romantic films too.

Yes Sanjay Dutt and Aamir Khan fit those films perfectly. It's hard to imagine anyone else in those films, still his choices have reflected on his career in India.
