Diwali Releases Get Holiday Advantage On Week Two Weekdays

The Diwali releases are holding well on their second week weekdays after showing a big drop in the second weekend. The collections on Monday and Tuesday were around the 2 crore nett mark for both films which was good as Friday was around 2.50 crore nett. Wednesday was Guru Nanak Jayanti so collections were strong on Tuesday evening and Wednesday figures will be better than Tuesday.

Both films are collecting in the same range daily in the second week. Some circuits are better for Jab Tak Hai Jaan while others are better for Son Of Sardaar. The collections will drop today (Thursday) and further when Talaash releases tomorrow (Friday).

Both films will gross in the 17.50 crore nett range in their respective second weeks.

As per the figures TA tweeted today JTHJ is again doing better than SOS. This time JTHJ has lesser screens than SOS.

yes the moviw is still going strong. Even with Talaash releasing tomorrow, cinemas are still keeping daily 3-4 shows of the movie

The man takes his much-touted rivalry with various actors with a pinch of salt. What's a Rs 100 crore to a king? His latest film Jab Tak Hai Jaan has already touched the magic mark and is still going steady at the box office. But the King remains unfazed.

SRK laughed and said, "It's just a new yardstick. Earlier, it was either a silver jubilee or 100 days... Now, people have a yardstick even for trailers! They will keep changing and there will be a new benchmark every few years. I think every film will now make Rs 100 crore but each film will still have its own uniqueness."

The success of Jab Tak Hai Jaan has not come without its fair share of pressures. First the demise of his mentor Yash Chopra and then the tussle of his producers with Ajay Devgn. Also, the effect it could have on his friendship with Ajay Devgn's wife Kajol.

"Ajay might be having some righteous things in his mind about the way distribution should be done. Jab Tak Hai Jaan is not my film although I have a part of it. I have a beautiful relationship with Kajol and I have met Ajay a few times. After Yashji's (Chopra) death we were all in a different zone and I did not want to remain in this space," said SRK.

But all's well in his kingdom so far. The man takes his much-touted rivalry with various actors with a pinch of salt.

He said, "I know people say that I am manipulative, detached; business minded, etc, but I am not cheap. Meri toh jab picture aati hai ek nayi rivalry shuru ho jati hai. This year there was no one, so it's Ajay. Earlier it was Akshay and things like Khiladi versus King. Mein toh sab se pyaar se milta hoon." 👏

I dont think that this story will have a affect on SRK Kads relationship at all.Ajay and SRK dont get well along that is a fact.

i hope so...but both SRK n Kadz r so unpredictable na...if it was only Ajay, then i wud not be bothered, but recently Tanisha also took a dig at SRK...tat rings an alarm bell for me atleast...so fingerscrossed

Jab Tak Hai Jaan Beats Housefull 2; Grabs 5th Position in Koimoi Top 10 India Box Office 2012

With 115.60 Crores in its kitty, Shah Rukh Khan's Jab Tak Hai Jaan has occupied 5^th position in theKoimoi.com Bollywood Box Office – Top 10 Indian Movies 2012, beating Housefull 2. Sajid Khan's multi-starrer Housefull 2, with 114 Crores lifetime collection, now stands at the 6^th position after JTHJ'striumph.

Son Of Sardaar, who just entered the 100 Crores Club, rather crossed the mark with about 100.05 Crores, stands at number 8th position. However, Ajay Devgn's SOS will soon beat his last film Bol Bachchan, which holds a life time collection of 102 Crores at the Domestic Box Office, and occupy the 7th position in the list.
