Maybe that's because a lot of people genuinely thought that JTHJ would be IT. Yash Chopra's last directorial venture, the king of romance SRK, the one with the midas touch, Katrina Kaif - the audience were ready to lap it up! With SOS, I don't think there's much discussion because there wasn't really that expectation. I dunno, just my two cents.

LOL! Its funny to see people talk of VZ as a classic today. But the reaction was something else when it released. Only reason why it made money was because SRK could do no wrong those days. I guess 10 years later JTHJ will be called a classic.

yeh that sort of stuff happens, back in the day lamhe flopped but it is a classic!! JTHJ is a blockbuster no doubt, but I bet after a few years it will gain more respect, BTW did u write ur review yet??

Lots of good movies in India dont get recognition and kind of business that it deserves.. That doesnt change the fact that the movie is indeed classic..

And during VZ time, Paheli or Yeh lamhe Judai ke sumthing sumthing were released too 😆 I dont think those movies were hit .. Even Swades did poor business.. But it was always a classic 😃

But for VZ, it was a superhit even back then 😕 VZ is a complete and flawless love-story and it's appreciated till date 😳 I think gross collection was around 60 cr. which makes a movie superhit 😛 Correct me abt the hit thing cuz I am not sure if VZ was a hit n all 😕
