Today : Apprx. JTHJ 17.5 cr, SOS 12.5 cr. But since SOS is better in single screens, distributor's share will be almost equal.

We are not worried about the distributors shares,,, it is just matter kaun kitna kamata hai...

waise to, costing for both movies are diff one is 50cr other is 90 cr

Box-Office Report: Jab Tak Hai Jaan Sets the Ticket Window Buzzing

The Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jab Tak Hai Jaan has set the ticket windows buzzing and had an excellent opening across India with 70% occupancy and went even housefull in some part of India.

The movie performed excellent in Mysore and West Bengal and took a bumper opening in Noida. JTHJ may even manage a record opening day total in Mysore. But, the single screens, though are showing strong opening indications, are comparatively earning lesser than the Multiplexes. The multiplexes are doing quite a good business.

However, the collections might see a drop in the late afternoon and evening shows due to Diwali Puja's.

Will Shahrukh Khan And Ajay Devgn Beat Their Diwali Bests?

The last Diwali's have been dominated by Shahrukh Khan with Ra.One in 2011 and Ajay Devgn with Golmaal 3 in 2010.
This year has seen both Shahrukh Khan and Ajay Devgn come on Diwali day and the early collections suggest both actors will record similar opening day figures that they had when they last came on Diwali.
Ra.One grossed around 14.50 crore nett in 2011 and Golmaal 3 grossed around 8 crore nett in 2010
Despite both films starting strongly collections took a dip from afternoon onwards due to Diwali and it is looking a 14 crore nett range for Jab Tak Hai Jaan and around 8 crore nett for Son Of Sardaar with a possible 10% up or down movement depending on late evening and night shows.

South India with limited Diwali affect could push Jab Tak hai Jaan if circuits like Mysore and Nizam are at record pace.

JAB TAK HAI JAAN Scores At Box Office On Day One

"Jab Tak Hai Jaan" (JTHJ) started well in most of the territories and despite release of SOS across 2000 screens, JTHJ came out with flying colors at box office on opening day.

JTHJ was superb and was superb in West Bengal, Mysore and Mumbai. Surprisingly film held its own ground even in places like Delhi/UP, East Punjab and Rajasthan where SOS was strong. Film has done well countrywide which is a good sign.

Film's release strategy worked big time but even the multiplexes where both the film were at even standing, JTHJ able to score. It is now crucial for film to score consistently throughout the weekend.

As per the early estimates, film should collect 16 cr nett but that is again dependent upon late night shows as there are many lined up. Film isheading for huge run at box office going by crtics' reviews and reaction of class audience.
