2. Multiplexes tickets Prices r Higher than Single screens

When someone's result is announced,no where in the report card it is written that student A attended extra classes so got more marks than student B,student C studied till midnight so got more marks than student D.What kind of logic is this?Results for these movies should be based on how much they are earning,plain and simple..JTHJ has earned more than SOS...why give silly reasons like JTHJ had more screens ,higher ticket prices and stuff? :S

And I would be the last person on earth celebrating he the success of JTHJ so dont pounce on me with facts,numbers and stuff.😆Just found the reasoning pretty lame so brought to your notice.

JAB TAK HAI JAAN opened worldwide on Diwali, 13th Nov 2012, to a tremendous response at the box office and has set several collection landmarks ever since.

It is the highest first day collection ever for any film released on Laxmi Pooja day, even though it did not have a solo release.

It is also Shahrukh Khan's highest opening day figure, ahead of both RA.One and DON2, which had solo releases.

OVERSEAS

JAB TAK HAI JAAN takes the International Box Office by storm.

JTHJ recorded some mind boggling figures for the opening day (Tuesday) screenings on a limited overseas release, as the film opened in stages over 14th, 15th, and 16th November.

The film has had a tremendous response and the audience reactions have been extremely positive. What has been most touching is that everyone is sitting through the end credits as the film pays a tribute to Yash Chopra, which makes it even more special.

SB u cracked me up over here🤣...

although I do agree with minnie here...Results of students cannot be compared with results of movies...in a class room...the students are at a levelled playing field...all of them have the same teachers, same class, same lessons...but in movies its not the same...a lot of things will have to be taken into consideration...Did the movie release alone or there were other movies releasing with it...were the number of screens the same...what were the ticket prices...what festival did it release on...what is the popularity of the stars...SOS or JTHJ...released under different circumstances would have had different results...

Yesterday when I went to watch JTHJ, SOS was playing in next theatre. Peeped in. Not more than 20 ppl in 250-300 capacity theatre. Sad.

well SB Student's report card example is not at all Apt for this situation 😛 ...

and why can't one give the reasons of less screens and higher tickets prices ???? when trade pundits them self r giving the same reasons ...

if one person releases their movie in 5 theaters and other one in 2 so who will earn more ????? and how come its a lame reason ??? 😆

if one of the biggest reason why Lagaan earned less than Gaddar was that it had 3 shows per day due to length while Gaddar had 4 shows then why not same kind of reasons for SOS ???

Most of the regular(Not hyped up) English movies are like that here. Hardly 20-30 ppl in one huge theatre. 😆 Suburbs.

One movie of that horse-faced actor SJP "I don't know how she does it " had 5ppl in theatre. 😆 2 ppl other than me and my 2 friends. Horrible chick flick.😆
