But I think we all get the point...The thing is not just us...Human beings ..women in general look at personality ,humour ,machoness...where as women are considered to be fairer sex..and looks kinda play an important part for their sexual identity !!!

And we have many dark looking actress in south..some who are super stars...likes of Trisha..Anushka...recent ones like Nithya Menon,samantha...etc etc !!!Even Deepika is south indian..

India is a general is a male oriented society...

All the leading ladies of south, especially in Chennai and Telgu films are stunningly pretty and more importantly fair complexioned!

Fair skin is a huge draw down south...more so because most the leading men are singularly ugly to look at, so they want heroines who are so pretty, that they make those men look good!

I think Malayalam films are the only exception, where talent is given precedence to looks...but even that is changing now!

Coming to Dhanush, he might look like a horror...but he is super-talented! And not just because he won a national award! I mean, if Arjun Rampal can win a National Award...I suppose anyone can!😆 But Dhanush has done a lot of good work and he is quite a natural on-screen! Sonam is lucky that she is finally getting to act opposite a real actor. Hopefully, some of Dhanush's talent might rub off on her!
