This match was truly made in heaven. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai's marriage was not one of your on and off, 'we are only friends', 'I have no idea what you are talking about' type story. The couple is today blessed with a beautiful baby girl and fans across the board await Aishwarya's return to the silver screen.
In a recent interview with Filmfare, when asked about being the supportive husband and if he had imposed any dos and dont's on Aishwarya, Bachchan Jr. stated that there are two sole reasons a man holds his wife back from moving ahead. One is that he doesn't trust her and two that he is insecure. He loves accompanying her to all her events and firmly believes that if a wife supports her husband, then it's the husband's duty to support his wife. He's definitely looking forward to seeing her on the 70mm screen as soon as she finds a script she likes. What he admires the most about his wife is that fact that despite her public image, she is well-grounded, uncomplicated and real. He went on to say that oddly enough, Big B and Ash have several similarities i.e. they do not project themselves as stars and simply concentrate on their work.
On the constant comparison with his iconic father, the Bachchan Jr. stated that the North Star appears only once in a lifetime and there will be no other like the Bachchan Sr. One has to chart their own course in this industry. He has experienced what it's like to be tossed out of a film overnight and that's the nature of this field. One can't allow their life to be shaken up by it.
