I hope she does not convert for religious financial or legal or any other reason. If kareena could not marry a muslim without converting think about the common girl who is given the ultimatum of converting if she wants to spend her life with a muslim. Kareena is a role model and i hope her final decision shows a hindu muslim relation in a new light.

i saw some muslim in india who celebrate " navraatri" they dont eat onioin during this 9 days like hindus , they does fasting for 9 days with whole heartly without converting their religion , same like i see many indians who goes mazaar " baba ki mazaar " chadar chadaaney , which is muslim mandir u can say , without converting their religion

so its all about faith n belife in something ,if she convert to save navaab parmparaa so i dont think any thing is wrong in it ...in salmaan family i think both religion follow hotey hai without converting they have faith in both allaah n god , kareena also can do same , after converting she also can follow her religion , wihout lossing faith

I won't comment on anything else but your information is wrong.

Mazaars are NOT temples or temple-like in Islam. There is no concept of temples in Islam at all. There is only 'Mosques' where people go and pray but 'Mazaars' are NOT - the reason most of those prayers there get accepted or granted is because of the concept that 'when a lot of people pray together (even if for different things) (be it in a Mosque, at home or even in the park or anywhere else) the prayers/duas have sort of 'more weight' and more chances of being accepted' - if that makes any sense but 'chadar chadhana' and praying on someone else's Ibaadat/prayers is NOT allowed in Islam. It's a misconception that started from
(as per my knowledge) Muslims (who didn't know why duas get accepted more at mazaars) and has spread wide. It's wrong.

A husband won't be forgiven because his wife used to pray or had done more 'Ibaadat' or was a better muslim than him. Neither would a wife get advantage because her husband had prayed more. So asking Allah to accept your wishes/duas on someone else's 'Ibaadat' (like these Sufis had done 'Ibaadat' and prayed) is wrong and forbidden in Islam.

I never believed in going to Mazaars but have seen and heard people go there. It always used to bother me and so I never did pray at a Mazaar. I only found out recently myself what I explained above.

Also you'd be surprise to know that most of these Mazzaars are not even the acutal place of the burial of that 'Sufi' (etc) people go for.

But, I get the point you are tying to make - some people from both religions follow somethings from both religions - they don't convert but they still perform a few rituals/deeds (can't think of another word here). They respect other religions while also following and believing in their own - and that is possible. There are plenty who do that. And there are plenty who don't perform any rituals/deeds from any other religion but still respect other religions. I know I do (thus my trying to learn all religion's views/ideologies/theologies etc - my own belief if respect comes from understanding).

I guess I do have to write something about the topic so here goes: Religion is a personal matter. Us, other people, saying s/he is a bad Muslim/Hindu/Christian etc or a good Muslim/Hindu/Christian etc does NOT make them one. But, I believe people should change to another religion if they truly feel and believe in the other religion.

I have heard of people who change their religion when they get married but they do it only when they believe in the other religion wholeheartedly (in fact one of the Maths teacher at my school converted). So there are those who convert when getting married and those who don't.

I don't see how Kareena converting or Saif performing a puja at their home makes them strict followers of their religion so I am surprised at the journalists asking such questions.

I hope if Kareena converts then she converts wholeheartedly or she doesn't at all. Forcing conversion to any religion, be it Islam, Hinduism, Christianity etc is wrong - humanly, ethically, morally, legally and above all - from either religion's perspective. But my views will remain just my views - I don't think what any of us write here will change her decision (whether she converts or doesn't)
.

btw, you spelled Allah wrong and it's written with a capital letter just like in Christianity Jesus is written with a capital letter and I think in Hinduism too, for some Gods you have to write 'God' with a capital letter but not for all (I could be wrong, I learnt all these writing rules/principles a looong time ago so please do correct me if I am wrong).

p.s. I debated for a while whether I should post this correction here or leave it (since it's not a religious topic and all). Mods can feel free to delete it but I only hope those with this misconception are well-informed after reading this and correct those who still believe in the Mazaars and going to pray there for all the wrong reasons.

p.p.s. please do not feel I am targetting you but just correcting your misconception (for which I do not blame you, like I said I, myself, only found out recently after some deep and thorough research on Mazaars and prayers)
