who caress!!!! this is good for lata, atleast we wont have to hear kat saying how lucky she is that lata sang for here. dont forget that lata is a legend, even if she stopped singing 20 years ago it wuld have made no difference because the huge repertoire of great songs she has. this shuld be nothing but a releif for lata ji

quite a respectable post for a legend who has represented Indian Music at its classical best for almost two decades.👏

Killing so many careers?...How can someone kill someone's career ? anyways the reason she deserves all respect because she has given the Indian Music 'the respect it deserves' what is Indian Music Today...where is the culture ? Indians are so westernized obsessed these days that they are desperate to kill their own roots. where in West actresses like Halle Berry wears sarees and want to know more about Indian Culture.

It doesn't really matter if today's so called generation doesn't care about the culture or its musical roots but the fact is that it will always represent the country - the classical form. There were times I had heard bhajans like 'Allah Tero Naam' songs like 'muh se chaal' . today there is chikni chameli, dhiskayon, W*F has raped the indian musical industry. no wonder all old legends wants to commit suicide. Given what indian music has become i wish i could support their cause.

I don't think it's about Lata's voice suiting Katrina or Anushka. A lot of actors/actresses lip sync to songs by artists that do not suit their face at all and it ruins the performance completely. I think it's to do with age more than anything else. Awaaz par toh fark parta hai, na :)

I don't really blame the Chopras for taking this decision. But that doesn't take anything away from the fact that the lady is a living legend. Her songs are timeless and I'll never forget Baahon mein chale aao :) (Anamika) Beautiful <3

yah 80+ years Lata Ji's voice is not suitable but Aatif's voice is very much suitable for actors na 🤪

They could have used Lata's voice for another song that didn't require Katrina lip syncing or any lip syncing at all. 😕 lol agree with others here..the irony of it all is that Katrina is a misfit in a Yash Chopra film herself. 😆

What's this got to do with Aatif? It's not his fault the Chopra camp dropped Lata 😆

she can sing "maa" songs or "bhajans" like lukkha chuppi (RDB) or oh paalanhaare (Lagaan)...but her voice isnt suitable for romantic duets...it sounds too strained...asha bhosle's voice sounds sexy even at this age so she can prolly sing for anushka and it would be fine...

But lata mangeshkar cant sing for today's heroines. Period.
