I think more than Aish and Sallu episode there is his own personality to be blamed.

His big mouth is what went wrong, he had such a promising career ahead of him until he decided to hold that conference going after Salman and dragging in the name of other actresses. I remember when he did that everyone turned against him, it was not a matter of whether his accusations were true it was the way he chose to handle things on a whole. Vivek has only himself to blame for his career being destroyed.

His big mouth, the little success and fame getting to his head, the Aish-Salman karnama, everything went wrong. He was pretty good in Company, Saathiya, Shootout at Lokhandwala, and he did have some talent (does he still?), but his offscreen personality.. the little said the better.

He did so few movies, I still have a picture of a young Vivek in my head, and seeing the promos of his new movie disappoints me.. he's not even pretty anymore. Not saying that should matter, but the audience likes pretty 'actors' even when they don't act (*cough* Katrina *cough*) and Vivek doesn't even have that anymore. oh Vivek, you messed up real bad.

^ I guess he's an exception. People may actually like him for his acting and movies. 😲

Vivek's in a position where he retires or not, no one would really care.
