how does that matter? if a movie is directed by a Hindu the sikhs in the movie would have a hindu wedding?? what?? JWM was directed by a muslim director and Geet was having a sikh wedding while Simran Singh in DDLJ sings Om jai jagdish hare? 😕

I knew this would happen. When, for the first time, someone had posted the theatrical trailer of SOS, I had posted a comment stating I wasn't sure if they were showing the good side or the bad side of the Sikhs/Sardars.

With dialogues like maa behen ki gaali humne sikhayee duniya ko and things like that, I was pretty sure this was coming. And I am glad it did. I know a lot of Punjabis who are modest and condemn such acts. I really don't know what these idiots think when they make such movies and pen such dialogues down.

I hope the Sikh authorities take an action. As it is, India has become a home to communal riots and hatred. And this trailer did just the needful.

Ughh I just hate it when they show Hindu marriages with 7 phere when the characters are shown as Sikhs.. just like in Teri Meri Kahani at the end that guy says, she is a Hindu widow while PC's father was a pure sardar.. that was a total W*F moment -__-

Coming to SOS, I didn't have any problems with it because I didn't even notice the Hindu god tatoo LOL! Ajay himself is a Sikh so I don't think he would do anything wrong.. I don't get it, Akshay who is a Sikh too was criticized for not having full beard while wearing a turban on the posters but what about all those people in Punjab who don't have full beards either but do wear turbans :| Anyhow, I did like the trailer but hopefully they'll try to do something about that tatoo..

Will decide after reviews till then no comments for this movie... As i don't like Ajay

Ajay Devgan : I think both because a good script can be ruined by a bad director and vice versa

Ajay Devgan is Sikh. Akshay is not, even though he does follow the religion because he was raised by his grandmother who used to take him to a gurudwara every morning.

Its stupid how sensitive some people are. I can understand the out roar over Akki. The guy looked less like a Sardar and more like Alladin in SIK. But Saif in LAK, Salman in Heroes. Ajay in SOS have all followed the protocol to the T with a full beard and everything. Let the guys be.

Sorry, people. No offense. Please enlighten and educate my ignorant self. Why do Sikhs and Hindus go to each other's place of worship? As a child, I was always told that Hindus and Sikhs are followers of TWO, TOTALLY DIFFERENT faiths. But in Bollywood, I see Sardars doing the Laxmi pooja, and Hindus going to Gurudwaras. I am really confused. Is this a normal thing between the two communities, or is this just a director's fantasy to integrate the two?

Please, someone with a really sound knowledge on the topic help me out here. Thank you.
