Yup...by getting their fines forgiven...and not by paying their fines for them... Its like if I kill someone...and I have money...i can ask someone to do the jail time for me by paying them🤢...would the justice system accept that??

Your comparison is completely absurd.

Who sets up the fine?? Judges?? Justice system??Salman Khan or jailer did not decide on the fines. If courts think its okay to pay the fine and release the prisoners who are you or me to go question that decision.

I don't know their criminal record but as i said if they themselves have served majority of their time and are not threat to the society i don't see why they should not be released.

Thats my point...that if u go through the court system...legally they won't be able to accept the fines paid by Sallu...so it would be better to go for the fines to be forgiven...

Why hasn't salman completed his prison time yet? oh wait, he's able to pay out.

Imagine an 18 y/o Young man who in a fit of anger and bad judgement beats up a guy and is charged with assault. 2 yrs imprisonment, medical bills and 50,000 fine.

Does he deserve to start a new life, after completing his 2 yr sentence?

If Salman's charity is willing to pay the fine and medical bills, is it wrong?

Its funny how people call out the Indian Justice system any chance they get when its been proven over and over again that the law is different for celebrities all over the world.

Kobe Bryant, OJ Simpson, Nicole Richie etc etc etc.

Call out the Indian Legal System when these "celebrities" pay their dues.

Exactly. That's my point as well. IF these senior citizens have served their sentence already and are ONLY languishing in the prisons because they can't afford to get out, then what's the harm if Salman is helping them. Secondly, I really doubt these people are hardcore criminals. Even Salman isn't dumb enough to offer to free 400 rapists, murderers and pedophiles. I'm sure these are just petty thieves or innocents proven to be guilty due to unjust circumstantial evidence.

I always applaud a good deed whether a criminal does it or a saint. Ends justify the means as far as I am concerned.

ofcourse, it's a lot easier to help people out if you have money, the more the better, but when you are responsible for seriously injuring someone, don't run away from it.
