Ha Ha Ha Ha... Seems like a little crisis is brewing in the Dale Bhagwagar stable. 😲

For a change, the PR Guru himself seems to be in jeopardy... and Dale Sir is 'complaining' like a kid. 🤣

Look... 👏

More power to you Maike Steuer... We love you for having this effect on The Mighty-Flighty Dale... 😆 🤣 Though please be a little wary of his craziness.

THE COMPLAINING POST FROM DALE'S FACEBOOK...

Dale Bhagwagar

Thursday at 19:51

Dear Maike Steuer, You may have "joined Mumbai Mirror"... That doesn't compensate for bad attitude. Please do not expect me to change my stance just because you've joined a paper. NAME DROPPING, SARCASTIC ATTITUDE of INTIMIDATING doesn't work with me! If you are nice to me, I'll go out of my way to help you and make things extremely easy for you. But if you give me ATTITUDE in return, I will not be able to help you, even if you join New York Times. BE NICE TO PEOPLE FIRST. IT WORKS WONDERS :):) Cheer up now! @maike.steuer Death In Mumbai by Meenal Baghel Vickey Lalwani Minty Tejpal Abhijit Sathe

Nirav K. Bhimani The first requisite of a "good" journalist is the ability to "listen" and "understand" .. And nobody better than Dale Bhagwagar to learn this attribute from .. People know Dale as a PR Guru for the work he has done.. But not many know that he has been a journalist himself .. A very fine example for journalists all over the world.

Samarpita Samaddar We publicists understand journalism as much as journalists do, how else do we "make" stories?! Dale Bhagwagar has been my guide to help me so generously when I was just a student, even before I had met and worked with celebrities. He is the last person who could be rude! How on earth does joining a newspaper, that too a tabloid, make you oh-almighty?! I just don't understand. Dale, just ignore such people and keep on bringing alll the glory to your name. Cheers! :)

Ankita Gaba I was a PR before and now a journalist [partial] through my startup. Most Journos have an attitude and disrespect PR's, not a healthy practice. We all are here to work and create value. All relationships are important and should be valued, especially since all of us are going to circulate in the same industry.

Though usually I play the critics role in Dale's life, this time I would have to agree to him. He will go out of the way to help people.

Shailaish Agarwaal Know what Dale? You are way above all this crap anyways!! You are a 'dude' that spells 'attitue' as 'ATTI-DUDE'! So let go of scum[you know where that belongs-lol]... And also let's find out if this 'attitude' is a pre-requisite demanded by Mumbai Mirror from new recruits - which I believe is not the case...
And give them a front page story from their own stable!!

Thursday at 21:10 Like

Shailaish Agarwaal I know most people at Mumbai Mirror have such a warm approach that you'd go out of your way to share a story or coup with them anyways... How else can you justify their success as Mumbai's voice! Hope they nix this 'attitude' before it stifles others!!

Lisa Tsering Hi Dale, I'll post here what I just told you in a private message: You and I are both in the media and we know there are a lot of jerks out there! And harsh words are often exchanged! It is not a profession for the soft-skinned! I know you are stronger than this. In fact I think I will post this comment in the thread. I TOTALLY understand how it feels to deal with jerks!! I once had a feud with some Bollywood concert promoters in LA that lasted 5 years! It made me cry, for real. But putting this in writing may end up biting you in the @$$!

Kartik Raichura Its quite funny actually.. being a journalist with a daily shouldnt be as big a deal no? There are several newspapers and journos around, all who require credible sources for their stories. I think media industry requires more friends than foes and I am certain the journo will kiss and make up as soon as she understands how media works. Dale Bhagwagar you've been in the industry 25 years :) .. Don't give PR to people whose names were yet unknown.. ALL PR is good PR remember ?

Dale Bhagwagar Nahin Rachna Srivastava ... I work the other way round. I believe, at the end of the day, 'people buy people'. You are from a website... Normally PR's don't do Exclusives with Websites as they prefer Print for breaking stories and exclusive interviews. But i just got 2 EXCLUSIVE interviews of my clients done with u this week and said ok for the 3rd one too. Why? Because you were nice to me in the way u asked. And not because you were from a website. As I said, I believe in the words... at the end of the day, 'people buy people'. That is Dale Bhagwagar for you. :):)

Ussha S Shrivastava Dale, really very upset with this non stop rude behavior from journalism fraternity. they should also understand that we too are here in this industry like they are. No one here is small or big or common or well known. This lady journalist should understand & know how to talk with their seniors. Senior doesn't includes where she is working but also from other industry professionals too.
We all have been in this media industry, u can say COMMUNICATION INDUSTRY for last so many years. And communication teach us all how to talk & communicate with each other. Its not the question if you are a renowned PR Professional or a Journalist. Only thing matters is how & What we are communicating.

Being a renowned person at a watever position in whatever organizations doesn't give any right to insult or talk rubbish or humiliate any one. One should also see the age & experience of the person with whom he / she is talking. They should also understand that we are also too professional & have spent so many years in this industry with dignity & respect. If you are a reporter, that doesn't mean that you consider others like a shitz & has given you an authority to degrade us. We are also here in this industry on demand.

I humbly request all my correspondent friendz to please be humble with everyone & specially when you people are talking with PR Professionals as you should also understand that Journalism & PR move together. We both are incomplete without each other. Correspondents should never think that they will never require PR peoples or their support. But they should understand that we make work easier for them as Journalist life is full of hectic schedules & crucial deadlines. That's where PR professionals role work out.

Journalist should make one thing very clear when it cums to entertainment journalism, business journalism, corporate journalism, political journalism, crime journalism etc, they have to go thru PR only. Every company, say small, medium or big appoints in house or outsource PR to get their work done without any tensions. And you all are aware of, that correspondents eagerly ask in social sites & network WHO IS THE CORPORATE COMMUNICATION MANAGER or PR , who handle so & so clientz. My simple saying is 'We both are incomplete without each other' & will alwayz need each other help & support.

I have spent almost 16 years in this communication industry & came thru odd & awkward behavior by the journalist in the past. Sometimes they without listening to us fully, in between either cut down the calls or end the call using harsh words. At that time, i had almost lost my temper but then kept quite ending the call politely b'coz that what we had learned how to be in communication industry & how to deal such situations if arise.

If you are working today for Mumbai Mirror or a big time publications, that doesn't mean you got a license to insult us. If you are having a white collar jobs, we too are here in this industry & working with Surf Excel image. We also have reputation & status in this industry. So better rather than being harsh not only with PR professionals but also with others, be cool, quite, humble & respect others & their professions too. The way you people are working on hectic schedules, same way we are also working with so many pressures, hectic schedules, deadly deadlines etc...

It's not that what Dale has mentioned in his post, but we all here are very disappointed with this kind of approach as somehow, somewhere we too have faced this problems & been humiliated by the journalist in the past. But now time & experience in this industry has taught us much how to deal & cope up with such situations.

So just one request to all my journalist friend that pay respect & get respect.

Let's work together by giving respect to each other rather than spoiling each other. Also if any correspondents are talking to a PR Professionals, just see their age, experience & knowledge in this industry as we all are here from good family background & we are that much educated that we understand a small term 'COMMUNICATION' & its BIG IMPORTANCE.

I would also like to apologize to all my journalist friends if you have felt bad but you have to accept the fact that we had been victims many times by you people.

So keep all the anger, grudges, attitude aside & work like a team.

Regards,

Ussha Shrivastava
PR Analyst

Ussha S Shrivastava Dale has not been supportive only to journalist but also to his own people from PR fraternity. Infact I have myself learned a lot from Dale. And if such problems, any senior from our fraternity will face, its a big insult to all of us. We are not working under you (Journalist) but we are working with you with same dignity & respect. So plz next time just try to be more polite & gud to everyone as that will only make you a gud person & beautify your persona on both personal & professional way. All d best...

Pankaj Sharma Probably she could learn from Raju Narisetti , Executive Editor of Wall Street Journal , the pinnacle that any Indian Journalist has achieved till date in global scene. He is so humble and gentle and you find all these fakes in India who think that they have achieved something just by becoming a journalist in some newspaper. I don't belong to the P.R and News Fraternity but surely Indian Journalists should learn from their global peers how to be sober, gentle and committed . In India Journalism is largely crap and ego driven. Thought of responding as this deals with a larger issue of bloated and blank egos than anything else.
