What I mean is that the Khan movies would have worked with any actress opposite them...I like Kajol too...she is a good actress...but i don't think there is anything special in the SRK-Kajol jodi...

No he won't find another Kajol no matter how much he's cajoled into working with other actresses, he'll find plenty of Gauri's but never another Kajol

noo I think dere cant b anoder pair dat can repeat the same magic as dem... they have amazing chem be it in romance, comedy, emotional scenes etc.

They both compliment each other a lot... which also works well for all the films that they have done together 😃

Apart frm Kajol... if I like SRK with anyone else... then it is Juhi & Priety, hope he n PZ wrk again some time soon 😊

Totally agree.SRK-Kajol is unparalleled.Kajol wasnt a show piece in any of SRK movies save for Karan Arjun.SRK was no King Khan who never delivered a flop when DDLJ released.Yes he was hugely popular post Baazigar,KHKN,Darr but still didnt have the superstardom he enjoyed post 2000s.Kajol had a great share behind DDLJ's success.Not only her,script,directions,songs,locales but most importantly SRK-Kajol's epic chemistry.Same goes for KKHH where Kajol had the most important and powerful role.I dont think it would've been same if Juhi has donned the roles of Simran or Anjali.SRK did Ram jaane,Raju ban gaya gentleman,One two ka four,Phir Bhi Dil hai hindusthani,Yess Boss ..with Juhi.But none of these movies could break records after records like DDLJ,KKHH.Hence discrediting Kajol completely and saying any actress could've done these roles isnt true.Its like saying anyone could have done Madhuri in HAHK,Kareena's role in JWM.SRK himself said its hard to recreate this magical chemistry and he owns Kajol a major share of success of his career he recieved through those movies.

Now coming to other actress SRK had great chemistry with Juhi and there is a certain comfort level which shows on screen cos they seem thick friends offscreen.For me she is the second best costar of SRK.Divya Bharti only did 2 movies with SRK,but it could be seen they had great chemistry.Priety Zinta made a sweet jodi with SRK in Dilse,Veer Zara..Personally find Rani-SRK chemistry way too overrated.They lack passion onscreen.Were cute as friends but in KANK where the chemistry was supposed to look hot due to all this forbidden lovers concept,I thought their chemistry was lukewarm.Especially in the intimate scenes.The movie was disaster in all respects.They also did a Paheli which SRK himself has mentioned one of his grave mistakes.Chalte Chalte was their sole hit .Madhuri looked elder to SRK in DTPH,Koyla and all but they shared good chemistry in Devdas.So all said and done SRK-Kajol chemistry is stuff which legends are made of.Timeless and i do not think SRK can create that kind of chemistry with any actress from the younger lot !!

same here, i don't see anything special about srk and kajol, they acted well, under good direction and were backed with strong scripts. Undoubtedly, there will be a day when srk will find another that can fill kajol shoes, she just needs to play her character well...

i think his "chemistry" was just as good with madhuri, juhi chawla, rani, preity, aish and anushka...like shahrukh khan says

"I think chemistry is too deep a word…only media people use it. Kajol and I have had this long debate on 'what is chemistry'..I 'm sure you wouldn't know what is the chemical name for CH3COOH, but you (the media) still love to say 'chemistry.'

I also think that these Khans have to move on now...jodi banane ka waqt nikal gaya...I would love to see SRK in meaningful character roles now..like what Amitabh does...there is a time for everything...SRK has ruled the roost as a romantic hero for 20 years...now is the time to pass on the baton to the next person...but who??..is the question...door door tak SRK ka replacement nazar nahi aata hai...

^Now tht I agree with.I rather see him in movies like Chak De India,Swades even Don rather than RNBDJ or Ra -1.But its true BW is yet to find a true replacement for SRK.Infact all the Khans.None of the newcomers have the same charisma or screen presence Khans had in their hey days.

Exactly..CDI and Swades rocked without SRK having a romantic angle in there...If SRK can do a movie like CDI and rock it...he can do more ..he doesn;t need an actress opposite him...and also since SRK can act...he doesn't need the typical masala movies...CDI has proven that SRK can hold a non-masala movie , without a romantic pairing on his own..

it is strange, in one instance i want that but i also don't want that, because i fell in love with his acting in the first place for the romantic characters that he played but i also love it when he plays something new...i don't think the khans have to completly drop out from the romantic genre, if any actor has the looks and capability to pull off a character, they should go for it! it shouldn't be about what they actually are cause the whole point of it is to act...

im thinking ranbir, he can act and has a pretty good offscreen personality...i do think shahid has the SK factor but the guy is just not taking advantege of his talent, he is to mediocre and predicatable at times...but i don't think anyone can reall leave a mark that shahrukh khan has...i would have never looked at bollywood twice if it wasn't for him..
