^ Even though I find Amir very manipulative offscreen, I CANNOT & WILL NOT deny that his movies actually have substance AND are a success at the box office. I love watching his movies (didnt like 3Idiots because he was acting like a botoxed wannabe teen) but still cant deny that it was an awesome movie that actually made sense (thanks to Sharman and Madhavan)

People are so used to watching item numbers, uncle actors prancing around with sagging balls, glam dolls, lame dancing, crap stories that Talaash, a movie with one of the most interesting trailers, is being declared a flop.

Mainstream bollywood has indeed gone to the dogs 👎🏼

Its not going to flop for sure. 😆 But...I think people + media will expect it to repeat 3I BO records..the 200 crores and that might be unlikely considering Talaash doesn't seem as commercial as 3 Idiots..even Ghajini.

Exactly...these days hits and flops are decided within first two weeks. Any Khan's movie will collect enough money to make their movie hit. Only question is ,,,, can they sustain long enough? Amir has more pressure than other two Khans, especially Sallu ...Everybody know that Sallu and SRK's movies are crappy at the best with so called entertainment value but when it comes down to Amir's movie, people have huge expectation.

IMO Aamir is scared that ETT will cross collections of 3I. So he is trying to pre-empt that event.

Mhmm. Its not so much about being an official "flop" (which will not happen) but more about not meeting BO espectations. Ra.One didn't hence people call it a flop when in reality it hasn't been officially declared a flop by the trade pundits. People are going to expect Aamir to give us another 3Idiots plain and simple. It's his first commercial movie in THREE years. It needs to be EPIC..good content + amazing BO records..the expectations will rise especially if ETT crosses 200 crores.

Another thing that worries me is that Aamir doesn't seem that interested in Talaash. The contstant delays because of whatever reason, the fights with Reema Kagti about wanting changes..just gives off a vibe that he is not happy about the way the film has turned out...and if the movie really has similarties with Kahaani, I can't say that will help the film.
