Did Salman Khan Attack Aishwarya Rai on National Television?
Did Salman Khan attack Aishwarya Rai when he made some comments about her on a children's dance show?
Sallu was appearing to promote his upcoming film Ek Tha Tiger (not exactly a film for the kiddos) and brought up Aishwarya's name while trying to compliment a young dancer. The girl had performed to 'Morey Piya,' a track from the film Devdas, and Salman told the girl that she was a better dancer than Aishwarya.
Except of course that 'Morey Piya' was performed by Kirron Kher, not Aishwarya. Did Salman forget that? He was, by all accounts, absolutely obsessed with Aishwarya at the time the film came out is it likely he'd be unfamiliar with the film's numbers?
To be fair to Salman Khan, it's been ten years maybe he's just a bit forgetful. No worries. It was a nice compliment to pay to a young dancer, and Salman was probably just trying to be nice.
But the reaction to the comment came almost immediately. It was as if Salman had gone on some sort of diatribe against Aish. The word "attack" was used in every other headline. And those which didn't try to sensationalize the trivial comment went the other way, wondering why the media can't let poor poor Salman forget his relationship with Aishwarya. Never mind that he was the one who brought her up in the first place!
Salman isn't some sort of victim here. He must know what kind of reaction will result from him speaking about Aishwarya. It's almost as if he does it just for the publicity. Considering he's in the process of promoting a film, that's not an unlikely theory.
