Prateik, Amy's romance comes to an end
They had fallen in love while romancing on screen for Gautam Menon's Ekk Deewana Tha. Prateik and Amy Jackson had subsequently inked each other's names on their arms, making their relationship public. And now, we learnt that the 21-year-old model-turned actress has put an end to it.
An insider spilled the beans. "Prateik was a very obsessive boyfriend. He used to land up on her shoots even outside Mumbai. Amy felt that she needed some space. Despite her explanations, Prateik did not change his ways. And finally, Amy couldn't take it any longer," said the insider.
Interestingly, this is the second time Prateik's rumoured 'obsessive nature' has hampered his personal life. Two years back, he and his then girlfriend Hanisha Melwani, a former student of National College, reportedly split due to a similar reason.
In an interview to TOI, dated January 19, 2011, Prateik had admitted that he was indeed a very possessive lover. "Giving space to your partner is important but I think every lover gets possessive, especially if he/she is truly in love," he had told us.
A common friend of Prateik and Amy confirmed that the two had indeed parted ways and added, "Prateik and Amy are still friends. Let's say, they are taking a break from their relationship. They need to focus on their respective careers right now."
