The Hindi remake of 'Traffic' is suddenly witnessing some big changes in its cast lines, with Ajay Devgan coming up in an important role. Yes, the national award winning actor will be featured in the role that of Assistant traffic commissioner that Anoop Menon has done in the original. Manoj Bajpai and Prakash Raj will also play other important roles in this movie which will be produced by Endemol and Ajay Devgan films.

To be scripted by Suresh Nair who will make small changes from the original scripts, the movie will have music by Mithoon and art direction by Sabu Cyril. Nirmal Jani of 'Border' fame, will be in charge of cinematography.

Meanwhile, Rajesh Pillai will also complete his new Malayalam film 'Gold' scripted by Shankar Ramakrishnan, amidst the three shooting schedules of his first Hindi flick.

The Hindi remake of 'Traffic' is seeing some big changes in its cast lines, with Ajay Devgan featuring in it.

They've been trying to remake this film for a while now. Doubt its going to happen. It was supposed to star Sunny Deol and Nana Patekar but the production house can't get it started. Plus AD has said he wont do any hard hitting films anymore. He's happy doing his masala flicks.

Sunny plays a Bollywood superstar in Traffic remake

Sunny Deol will be seen playing the role of a Bollywood superstar in Endemol India's Hindi remake of the Malayalam film Traffic. Released in 2011, the original Traffic is a multistar to emotional thriller directed by Rajesh Pillai. The story spans over a period of 12 hours. It starts with a road accident that turns the lives of people directly or indirectly involved in it. Of the characters, one of them is a superstar (Sunny Deol) whose film is all set for the release. Then there is traffic constable on duty, a doctor who is celebrating his first wedding anniversary and also an aspiring reporter on his first assignment of interviewing the superstar. How the road accident affects the lives of these characters is what the film is all about.

A source close to the film adds, "The Hindi version will be similar to the original. While Sunny plays the Bollywood superstar, Rajat Barmecha of Udaan fame is in the role of the aspiring journalist and Paresh Rawal plays Rajat's father." The movie also stars Prakash Raj, who is basking in the success of Singham. Even the actresses are still to be finalised. As per the source, the Hindi remake will also be directed by Rajesh Pillai. The film will go on floors in the last week of October and will be shot all over Mumbai and Pune.
