Aish was called Mangalik then..she was supposed to have ruined Salmans,Viveks and Abhisheks careers..Some people had fun with it for a while..she was supposedly more powerful than them...

The cops are no use in India. Even average people don't go to the cops to solve problems. They will end up making things even worse. They are also corrupt and can be easily bought. Salman had way more power and more money than Aishwarya and Vivek. Nothing would have come from complaining about him because he would have just sent them a hefty payment.

Using the media was the right way of going about it. I think it did help free Aishwarya since everything became so public and Salman couldn't afford to lose his fan base. Vivek was in love and took the risk that might come to his career. He thought this is the girl he was going to marry. Of course, things didn't work out for him as she dumped him and moved on to greener pastures. Vivek ended up the loser in the long run but hey, that's life sometimes.

Can we please stop blaming women for every stupid decision a man makes? It is actually ridiculous. I am not a big Ash fan but this mentality where men are treated as gullible agency-less imbeciles who are sitting around ready to be used, manipulated and thrown away is so gross. I don't think people stop for a second and think about their subconsciously sexist ways before perpetuating this bs.

@ topic: I don't think anyone ended his career as ksh said he's still around, but Salman sure did ruin it. I have always felt that Ash used Vivek at a time when he was emerging as the next big thing to show Salman that she doesn't need him anymore & that she can move on. Did she love Vivek? I honestly don't think so. Vivek however did..& it was always obvious. I think Vivek went as far as putting her before his career (standing up for her against Salman's abuse) which was booming at that point & that says everything. Also, I think Vivek was refusing some good films for some odd reason. I remember reading once that he was offered Saif's role in Hum Tum & he declined it. At that time, Ash & Rani weren't friends & I think his relationship with Rani wasn't that great either anymore?..or something of that sort...but, he was stupid to have rejected that film...& it was around the time Ash & him were dating.

overall, the entire Salman vs Vivek fiasco affected the guy's career the most. Everyone went against him & sided with Salman because everyone's sh!t scared of him...even till this day you'll always hear one or two actresses speaking out on how they won't ever work with Vivek & they're always Salman's chamchis.

There's nothing personal about the statement, Salman is infamous for physically and mentally abusing his ex-girlfriends, no parent would want their daughter to be physically and mentally abused the way Salman did to Aishwarya, those who defend a person like Salman should put themselves in the position of a parent.

Let be rephrase it. He was gaga over her and she just was with him as he was emergining as a star and she clung to him and using him as a rebound. He even dumped his long time girl to be with her, I'm sure she must have manipulated him into thinking that so snd so is no good, as Vivek used to be close to the khans, but this woman must have painted a certain picture, thst this lover boy decided like an idiot to call the media. I think when response went against him, and others in industry turned on him she dumped him. So ya she used him. Had she cared about him truly she stick ith him. Anyhow, he made his own grave and now as to lie in it.
