But suddently, without any explanation, after having shot a few scenes, we heard news that Imran was out and Saif was in.

What do you think happened? I have a couple of scenarios in mind.

1) After Break Ke Baad's terrible fate, Saif realized that Cocktail would look too similar with the same lead cast, and its better to remind audiences of a hit (Love Aaj Kal) than a flop (BKB) and decided to make the change?

2) Saif realized he needed to do more projects, and due to convenice, decided to do his own home production

3) Imran realized that he needed to branch out and do something else rather than yet another rom com.

4) The director realized that Imran didnt suit the character of a casanova/wasnt experienced enough to do this kinda role.

Its # 1 for sure. BKB was Ivan the terrible of bollywood films. It was a heinous watch. 🤢Besides, Imran can't act so Saif probably thought let me salvage my home production. Who wants to lose money anyway?
