Salman, Karisma etc at Arjun Kapoor's success Bash

On Thursday night, the air in Bandra was rather hot on one side but a lot cooler on the other. While at bandstand, near actor Shah Rukh Khan's residence, the atmosphere was gloomy, what with him caught again in acontroversy, on the Pali side many of SRK's close friends were in a party mood.An impromptu bash was hosted by actor- turned-producer Sanjay Kapoor and his wife Maheep to celebrate their nephew, actor Arjun Kapoor's successful entry in Bollywood. The party that was apparently a last minute idea saw who's who from B-town attend it.

The list included names like actors Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Karan Johar, Sohail Khan, Amrita Arora, Shakeel Ladak, Malaika Arora Khan, Arpita Khan, Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh, Shahid Kapoor and Nandita Mahtani.

A source on condition of anonymity says, "The main highlight of the party was KJo. Even as SRK went through a gruelling day, one of his closest pals, filmmaker Karan Johar was seen attending the bash. He was seen chatting with SRK'sfrenemy, actor Salman Khan most of the time. However, Karan preferred the back door for both entry and exit."

The other surprise factor at the party was the presence of Arjun's ex-girlfriend Arpita Khan. "Firstly, the attendance of the entire Khan-daan at any bash unless it's a family affair is rare. But when it comes to Arjun, right from pushing him to reducing weight to taking up acting and then promoting him on social-networking sites, Salman has been rather supportive. Also Arpita and Arjun's connection at the bash saw some sparks flying. They were very pally and seemed like they never had a break-up," adds the source.

Another couple was also raising quite a few eyebrows. An insider claims, "Actors Anushka and Ranveer came in the same car and left together. Theduo was seen having fun and were absolutely comfortable in each other's company."

It was a refreshing change to see the Kapoor sisters-Bebo and Lolo there as they haven't been attending any of their cousin brother and actor Ranbir Kapoor's parties.However, father and producer Boney Kapoor and uncle actor Anil Kapoor were conspicuous by their absence.
