Bollywood hottie Deepika Padukone wants to add glamour to her on-screen persona. The actress, who made her debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the film Om Shanti Om, it seems, is dissatisfied with how she has been portrayed on the silver screen.
A source close to the actress told The Mumbai Age that Deepika is looking for a makeover in her on-screen persona. "She does not want to do any serious films. In fact the actress has been avoiding all kinds of serious cinema because she wants to retain her glam image on the big screen." The source adds, "She (Deepika) wants to be featured only in Bollywood masala films. Her first attempt at serious cinema, Ashutosh Gowariker's Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se, opposite Abhishek Bachchan, wasn't very successful at the box-office. This is another reason why she has decided to stay away from any serious roles."
Deepika has worked with some of the leading actors in Bollywood including Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar among others. Her last film Desi Boyz did decent business in the box-office. The actress didn't have a single release in 2012 so far and is awaiting the film Cocktail to hit the box-office.
