Acting wise, both Deepika and Sonam can go take a hike... no difference, both wooden pretty faces.. with Deepika having prettier legs and Sonam prettier hair, IMHO. That's it. Why is media giving their "rivarly" so much hype?

Where there are true talents like Parineeti and Anuska, these two glam doll don't stand a chance, and won't win the battle in the long run, in my humble opinion.

On topic, Sri using fancier adjectives for Deeps probably is a passive agreesive jibe at Sona being a blatant Arjun's family supporter.

The once-upon-a-time Numero Uno star Sridevi is the next in line to return to movies with R Balki's wife Gauri's directorial project 'English Vinglish. She said, "I fell in love with Deepika Padukone from her first film Om Shanti Om. It didn't seem like her debut film. She's a stunning girl." Whereas Sridevi felt her brother-in-law and co-star Anil Kapoor's daughter Sonam is very pretty and a promising actress. Don't these words sound pale against the glorifying adjectives used for Deepika?
So we wonder what Sonam has to say to her aunt's statement! Dippy and Sonam appeared together on Karan Johar's chat show Koffee with Karan and shared more than giggles, but we don't think they are good friends. Like it or not, two female actors in B-town can never be friends. We are not saying that, many leading ladies have said it time and again.
Sonam and Dippy have had tough competition with each other from the beginning. Dippy's Om Shanti Om became a blockbuster hit, whereas Sonam's Sawaariya failed miserably. And a reason for further resentment between the two pretty actors is that Dippy has skillfully created a strong position as an actor in the industry, Really ? 😆while Sonam is still struggling to get people to look beyond her fashion statements.
We hope Sri's appreciation for the Padukone babe doesn't ruffle feathers in the Kapoor household!

I at least liked Sonam in Saawariya and Delhi 6 .But I did not like Deepika in ANY OF HER FILMS ..Oh i am not Sridevi

Deepika Padukone, who debuts in Farah Khan's 'Om Shanti Om' with Shah Rukh, has turned down Hindi remake of Pokhiri with Salman Khan.

The model-turned-actress Deepika Padukone, who plays the female lead opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om, has politely declined playing Salman Khan's love interest in Boney Kapoor's next film (a remake of the Telegu hit Pokhiri).

A Bollywood insider reveals, "Deepika backed out at the eleventh hour in a very unprofessional manner. Boney was waiting for her at a suburban preview theatre for the screening of the original film, so that she could get a feel of her role.

But then, her business manager called him barely 15 minutes before the show and said she was not interested in doing the film!"

When contacted, Kapoor confirms that Deepika has backed of his film, but refuses to admit the circumstances under which she did it.

"A screening was supposed to happen but it didn't, as Deepika informed me in advance that she couldn't do it. I wanted this film to be her next after Om Shanti Om and I had categorically told her that. But she told me it won't be possible as she was committed to other projects," says Boney.

When asked if he is disappointed about Deepika's exit, Boney laughs, "There is no question of being disappointed, as I've not lost a big star. I have short listed two new faces and I will soon announce the name of the girl who will play the lead opposite Salman. The shooting will start in June."
