Aamir Khan's Satymev Jayate debuts with 3.8 TVR on Star Plus

MUMBAI: Aamir Khan's debut on the small screen, Satyamav Jayate, which got rave reviews on the social networking platforms, has earned a rating of 3.8 in the three HSM Metros (Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai) on Star Plus.

In the six metros (including Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad), the average TVR of Satyamev Jayate stood at 2.9.

The one-and a-half hour show -- which was simulcast on Doordarshan apart from other Star Network channels and ETV in Andhra Pradesh -– was launched on 6 May at the Sunday morning slot of 11 am.

As per TAM data provided by the channels, the debut episode scored maximum in Delhi (5.9 TVR), followed by Mumbai (3.1 TVR) while Kolkata touched 1.8 TVR.

In Mumbai, the show (dubbed in Marathi) on Star Pravah garnered 2.2 TVR. On Star Jalsha, the leading Bengali entertainment channel, the show just managed 0.52 TVR.

On ETV in Telugu (Hyderabad), the show got 0.88 TVR, while from the same metro city the show clocked 1.1 TVR on Star Plus.

In Tamil on Star Vijay (Chennai) it fetched 0.68 TVR. In Bangalore, where it was not dubbed in Kannada, Star Plus managed 1.3 TVR.

any trp going above 3.0 is good...thankgod the show is a success, and the trp's should increase with each passing episode..

But still this show coming at 11:00 am on sunday shall be a dent on its business, becoz prime time slots are huge.. i hope they don't cry foul in the end...the subject defintely is captivative...GO AAMIR !

^^^3.8 isnt really good. Serials get much higher. There is the slot excuse but the investment was really huge in this show. SP would have expected more.

PS: Big B can remain in peace now.

It's very good. Considering the reach of the regional channels is/might not be that big, its good. Delhi's 5.1 is brilliant. Mumbai can get higher. And its just first episode. Let's see how it goes from here.

@-ksh: not really. These days shows aren't getting more than 4. Its always touching 3.8 or around that. The TRPs are put out every week on main page of I-F to see. Only 1/2 shows having a rating of above 4 and 5.0 trp, hardly!!! The only show on Sony getting 3-4 trps is Crime Patrol I think. Rest are struggling in 2.8's. Same for Zee. And SP show's are touching somewhere between 3.0-4.0. So, its actually good.

no point in discussing😆...just keep it to ur self that the show has opened well😊...rest all the thesis, and the so called facts can take a piss in bathroom😆...its time for wait for the next episode

Dont go by the IF trps. They dont give the complete picture. The highest ranked show is DID Lil Masters which is getting 6+. Even DABH gets 5+. All this despite their slots clashing with IPL.
