She can promote fashion for the plus-size women. Wait, watch this. You'll get an idea what I am talking about.

i feel bad for her now., shes almost 40 and at her age its hard to lose weight unless you do extreme dieting and excercise but shes probably too busy being a mom. i have a feeling this is how we shuld get used to seeing her from now on :(

the lady just gave birth a few months back..weight does become an issue for many women who get pregnant.. werent your all mothers fat post-pregnancy? Does everyone's mother here look like a model even after she gave birth to everyone of you? 😕
PS -- I am NOT a fan of Aish. Infact, she puts me off.

if that is the case she should stay at home, and do not come out to promote her 'FAT-LEGACY'

Blimey you lot are just so bitchy!

You know, I generally criticise her, but this time round...

... well, what can I say? She s out of shape, and being 40 is no excuse. If she fancies herself an international star, then she will be compared with the like of Gwyneth Paltrow, Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman, Penelope Cruz et al, all whom have given birth and yet managed to move the baby weight.

It's a good thing she decided against going. No point laying herself open to online mockery, ridicule and abuse.

SO it looks like she WILL attend, after all.

And what with the Guardian and the Mail both on her side, we can't even make fun of her anymore, lol.

It was fun while it lasted.

Yup she's fat. No she shouldn't attend Canne, that would be freaking moronic. But if she's going to stop being in films and just enjoy motherhood I don't see why people are up in arms about her needing to lose weight.

What gives? It's not like we're going to be seeing her in a blockbuster any time soon. If she wants to be lazy and fat for a year, f**k it, she probably is tired of her own title and stopped giving a shit. She's 35+, just had a baby and clearly doesn't care about getting all trim. Which is fine. Her choice.

Walking at Canne would be a bad move, and I hope it doesn't happen.

What is the problem if she is obese and walks on the Cannes red carpet? Is there a ban or something or an unwritten rule that obese women cant walk on red carpets?

No. There isn't. But you get invited to walk on the carpet for the work you've done that year and your status as a star. The good looking and presentable part is an add on.

Aish has done nothing this year, her stardom in regards to film presence has significantly diminished, and right now most of India kind of hates her (publicity stunts, etc). In what way would she be India's best representative in Canne for 2012? And yeah, she is pretty overweight. Which is her choice, but to walk at Canne after so much weight gain would be a suicide mission.

Ash is going to Cannes as Loreal brand ambassador. Loreal seems to be an important sponsor for Cannes. If Loreal guys are fine with the way she looks and think she is a big enough star to represent them despite no worthy films to speak of then I guess we have nothing to say. Just see her pictures and move on. Like the way we will do with Sonam.
