Bollywood beauties, Sonakshi Sinha and Asin have apparently turned down the offer to star in the remake of South Indian film Vettai, which stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead. | |||||
The Dabangg girl, Sonakshi found the film to be more hero-centric and rejected it as she thought there was not much for her to offer in the film. After playing important roles in her earlier films, Sonakshi also felt it would have been a bad career move for her, had she accepted the project.
After proving her mettle in Dabangg, the actress will be seen opposite Akshay Kumar in Rowdy Rathore this year, in which she is again playing a prominent role just like in her debut film.
On the other hand, Asin Thottumkal, who charmed the audience with her acting in Ghajini, also decided not to work in the remake as she did not feel the need to work with Shahid. The actress has already worked with Aamir Khan and is now excited about working with Salman Khan and SRK in the coming year.
Asin will be seen with Salman in Most Wanted which will release in 2013. The actress will also share screen space with SRK for the first time in Sajid Nadiawala's upcoming film which is based on Chetan Bhagat's novel, Two States.
According to the reports, the south actress Ileana D'Cruz will now star opposite Shahid Kapoor in the Vettai remake. The movie is action-oriented and will be directed by Tamil director, N Linguswamy, who also directed the original film.
