Karisma-Ash Cannes Clash

ALL THESE YEARS, Aishwarya Rai has remained the cynosure of all eyes at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
It is reported that the actress, who attends the festival thanks to her endorsement deals, doesn't like competition on this platform. There were rumours of how the senior actress had thrown a fit upon coming to know that Sonam Kapoor was to grace the red carpet along with her last year.
But now, in a surprising move, it might just be Karisma Kapoor clashing with Ash on this platform. Apparently, Vikram Bhatt's Dangerous Ishq, starring Karisma in her comeback venture, is to be showcased at the festival starting May 16, if all goes well.
Right now things are hazy though and Karisma says, "I may not go to Cannes. As the film is in 3D, there is a lot of technical work still left. If this works out, it would be a great thing!"
If it does and Karisma looking like she does these days (in a sensuous Angelina Jolie avatar in the movie posters), Ash would certainly have competition. She may not be able to shed the extra baby weight in time, to match mum of two, Karisma.
As for the Kapoor girl, she's not looking at Ash as any kind of competition and is only excited about Dangerous Ishq making it to Cannes on time.
"We have become like the West. Like Angelina Jolie or Kate Winslet, I too have kids and responsibilities beyond my job. Vikram (Bhatt) and the production house worked out the dates to suit me. They know that I am a mother."
Now it remains to be seen if Ash will dare walk the Cannes red carpet knowing her husband's ex might just be around the corner.
