Did SRK make Kajol a hit?

The major hits of Kajol's career are with SRK.Kajol and SRK are said to be the FairyTale Couple of Bollywood.And during late 90s Kajol got many awards,praises for her films like KKHH,DDLJ.Even her comeback film K3G which was a huge hit also starred SRK.Kajol has done mostly romantic comedies.She played the happy go lucky tomboy in most of her films.She did not have any versatility.But still she was considered the no-1 heroine in 90s.She has a large fan following.
Do you feel if SRK was not there Kajol would not have been this much successful?

Most of her hits are with SRK and all of her Awards comes from SRK movies she only win one for Fanna and that was a Aamir Khan film.

I was pissed off last year when she won the Award for "My Name is Khan" when Anushka performance in BBB and Vidya Performance in "Ishqiya" were much much better than hers.

I will never forgive the filmfare jury for giving SRK and Kajol awards for "My Name is Khan" they were much better performances than them that year.

They both made each other hit actually... both of their biggest hits have been with each other but it's not like they couldn't deliver hits without each other. Fanna didn't have SRK nor did PTHHT.

SRK and Kajol both contributed to each other's success. SRK worked with lots of heroines but he never had as much natural chemistry as he had with Kajol. They were simply magic onscreen. In the hits they had Kajol never played eye candy roles like Asin does in her films. She always had substantial roles. So it cannot be said SRK made her successful.

I agree.Kajol was totally undeserving for the boring fil MNIK.She should have got the Kela awards instead.

I think it was a symbiotic relationship on screen. One couldn't have done without the other. Although, SRK as annoying as I find him is a much better actor than Kajol. Kajol only knows how to ham and shriek on top of her voice. SRK can actually act when he bothers to. Can't say the same for Kajol. She has not done anything other than a meh.
