Munnabhai sequel in definitely on – Raju Hirani

For all the Munnabhai fans who have been waiting for the next film in the series, here is some good news! Director Rajkumar Hirani has confirmed that he is working on the script of the next film which should be ready very soon. Raju who was present at the screening of Lage Raho Munnbhai at 'Vidhu Vinod Chopra Retrospective' said that he is bettering the script of the sequel and will start with the movie as soon as the script is finalized.

Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra rubbished the rumors about the next Munnabhai movie being scrapped "We have been working on the script for four years diligently. We have a script which we think will be ready in a month or two. We are hopeful of making it," he said.

Also what might come as a major relief to Munnabhai fans, director Raju Hirani said that Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi will continue to play Munna and Circuit in the next film as well. Earlier there were rumors that Sanjay and Arshad will be replaced by Aamir Khan and Sharman Joshi in the next Munnbahi movie. But the director rubbished the rumors saying "Sanju and Arshad would continue to play the role of Munna and Circuit respectively. I cannot imagine anyone else doing their roles. Both are suitable for the roles".

Well we definitely agree with him. It is actually hard to imagine anyone else but Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi as Munna and Circuit. We have missed them for a while now and hope to see them make us laugh all over again.
