If all goes well, Akashay Kumar and Katrina Kaif will be seen together in A. R Murugadoss's forthcoming Tamil film Thuppakki's Hindi remake.
Thuppakki is one of the more awaited films in Kollywood. A R Murugadoss who is directing it with Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal n the lead, currently has decided to remake the movie in Hindi as well.
We heard, on his Mumbai visit last month for the shoot of the same film, Murugadoss met up with Akshay Kumar and discussed his idea of remaking the same film in Hindi. The actor, who is currently working on one of the south remake Rawdy Rathore, loved the script and agreed to co-produce it too.
The latest update on this one is that Akshay is keen to have Katrina Kaif on this project. Very few know that Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra were being considered the role opposite Vijay in the Tamil version but finally it was Kajal Aggarwal who bagged the role.
Interestingly, Thuppakki's Hindi remake will commence in November this year and the original South movie will release around the same time. Now the question is will Katrina manage her dates for Akshay's film given that she is shooting Yash Raj Film currently after which she moves straight into the shooting for Dhoom 3?
