Failure of others lead to the success of Khans?

I have been thinking about this for a while but are Aamir, Salman and SRK well esp SRK and Salman are they the stars they are today because of the failure of actors in the first decade of the 21st century?

I mean new stars are constantly coming into the industry yet only a few manage to hold there place in it and a majority fade out... I mean the 90's was the era for the Khan's they made there mark like the 80's was a place for Dharmendra, AB Sr, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor and they made their mark then...

But was it the failure that between 2000-2010 no star was able to make their place that led to Khan's being in such a powerful position today...

I mean Vivek had the most potential but we all know what happened there... Because otherwise I feel like he would be at the top of his career at the moment.

Zayed and Fardeen Khan... No comment

Hrithik has made his mark but I don't think managed to steal away audiences hearts the way Aamir, SRK and Salman have done...

Shahid He came in with alot of potential but doesn't have the best script sense and is in the media for his personal life too much...

Saif started the century with an amazing start with a row of hits but it seems to have fizzled since his relationship with Kareena, which is a shame because I love watching Saif movies! I know he came in the 1990's as well but I would love him to be the top Khan 😆

AB Jr More flops than hits.

Ummm... I am sure there are more actors who came in the last decade, it seems that Imran and Ranbir are finally making the industry move on from the three Khan's but there power is still too strong...

Nice topic..I wonder it got ignored. I agree with you...the failure of male stars in 2000s has ensured the current reign of not only the Khans but increased the career span of Saif, Akshay and Ajay too. If film-makers had more popular choices among the 30-40 age group stars then the story would be different for the Khans. Now we have one Hrithik who is a popular star...the rest less said is better about them. Abhishek, John, Fardeen, Zayed...the only place they fit is multi starrers where atleast one of the top stars like Akshay or Ajay is the main lead. Shahid's career doesnt look too bright right now though he is the only one apart from Hrithik who has any solo career left.
Imran and Ranbir are rising stars but the they simply dont have the star power of the Khans. The power the Khans have right now is scary. No one would survive on a head to head clash with them. Infact no one dare to even release their films for several weeks after a Khan release. Imran doesnt have the talent or intelligence to beat the Khans while Ranbir isnt very interested in commercial success at the moment. There is Ranveer but I am not sure how he will do outside YRF. I wonder what will end their reign?
Coming to the leading ladies I think right now Kareena, Katrina, PC, Vidya are having the same good fortune as the Khans. No female newcomer in the past 5 years has been able to make a mark at the BO or been able to dent their star power. Thats why all these 30+ women are still at the top whereas mostly the women start fading out by this time. Its not only a sign of changing times but also lack of competition for them.

Amazing topic! :)
Finally a sensible topic! =D
Not exactly! The Khans have succeeded die to their amazing and extreme hard work. If the others were good, they would have ,maintained their place in B'wood but SRK and Amir have made it big only due to their amazing performances! Many people find their success and them over rated but I seriously don't feel so! They worked hard- They got it! Their success has nothing to do with the failures of others! Amir and SRK have made it large due to their great movies and performances! :) The credit of their success goes to them and not anybodys failure!
Secondly I wouldn't blame peeps I they take tome to accept Ranbir or Imran cause it even took the audience time to accept SRK and Amir! :D

Its about talent, but at the same time talent alone help a star reach such heights. It also depends on star power & for whatever reason the Khan's have been able to capture the hearts of millions of fans worldwide that have made them reach the position they are today. The Khans no doubt have talent and immense actors, but so are many other actors in the industry. But luck is a huge factor as well.

Oh you so easily not mentioned Salman whose ruiling the roost presently.
on topic: yes the Khans are ruiling 😊👏 Also, Akshay, Ajay non-Khans too have made their space and Akshay also has held a top slot in these 20 some years, and gave many back to back hits in 2007-2009.
