i agree! taran is very unpredictable with reviews!
He wents nuts over anjani anjaani saying its the finest piece of cinema, but he forgot to mention how badly it tests your patience as a viewer!
He seems to be inspired by gloss, and style more than substance and i find his reviews boring, its like he never goes critical with the top stars like kareena, katrina etc! He mostly ends up saying goody good stuff about all the A- listers! Like awards, he has been sold out too! not buying it :p

Have you noticed how he recycles the same phrases over and over again?

The ticket prices are too expensive for people to look at one review
from a reviewer with whose reviews the general public dont always
agree, and go for the movie.
Maybe the young crowd will boost the sales on day one due to
Valentines Day but after that its word of mouth.
Agneepath sustained and is only going from strength to strength
because of strong word of mouth due to the movie being really
well made.

The reviews will be based on Kareena's performance as if that wasn't obvious :) apart from the script/direction etc.

Taran's reviews are really good for nothing else but if you want to get a few laughs out of them. I think practically everyone knows how unreliable a critic he is, seriously the guy has such a bad reputation.
Anyways, really want it to do well for Kareena's sake and I hope she has a lot more to do then just look pretty!

Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu Business Analysis. Economics.

Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is scheduled for release on 10th Feb, 2012. Let's look into its business aspect. What are the economics involved and how much potential does EMAET has at the Box Office.

Production Cost of EMAET is around 28-30 crore inclusive marketing and publicity cost.

Amount already recovered before the release of EMAET. Around 15 crore is recovered already from selling the Satellite Rights of EMAET. Another 6 crore is recovered from music and others. A total of 21 crore is already recovered before the release.

How much needed to recover from Theatres? Another 9 crore (Distributor Share of 9 crore) is enough to recover from Theatrical avenues for EMAET to recover its cost. Which is nominal looking at the business aspect of EMAET and will be recovered in its opening weekend or first 4-5 days at most. After that all amount will be in Makers kitty. Also overseas collection will further add to the plusses. So, EMAET is certain to be a profitable venture of makers, unless some disaster strikes at the Box Office.

Opening Weekend (Prediction) - 18-20 crore nett (9-11 crore Distributor Share).
Lifetime Collection (Prediction) - 50-60 crore nett all India (27-33 crore Distributor Share).

Profit - 18-24 crore from Domestic Market + Overseas Collection.

Verdict - HIT/Super HIT because of low cost, huge recovery before its release and Positive Vibe all around EMAET.

Buzz - Multiplex business will be extremely good as plex audience are short of entertainment for a long time now. Valentine Day collection will be very good.
