Oh and maybe I'm biased...but I get the feeling ki Shirish is quite happy with what happened. I think he's always wanted a retaliation from SRK and he finally got it.

On the contrary, Shirish has a reputation of taking pot shots at people's failure when he himself is known for being Farah's husband and not for any good work .. inspite of being given opportunities with big stars and big budgets, he has always delivered duds .. his only success is pataoing that FK and having kids with her .. no doubt she is standing by him

Knowing both the personalities, it is more probable that Shirish indeed did something to provocate SRK. SRK has spent around 20 years in this industry and must have met strangest of the people (including that lecturer contestant on KBC whose video was quite popular on IF few days back) .. he has always been the bigger person and managed to make fun of the situation ...

I agree that changing circumstances do change people and trying times indeed bring out both best and worst in a person .. but the basic nature remains the same

I guess being only a human that we all are, sometimes you cannot take crap and we all reach our threshold .. we all don't know what Shirish must have said/done at Agneepath party but there was anyways an undercurrent of tension going on between SRK and Shirish .. so if for a moment SRK gave into his emotions that does not make him any less of a respectable man that he is .. in some circumstances like self-defence, law permits even murdering your enemy .. and this is a slap which I am sure SRK would have never given in normal circumstances, if he had to then he would have done it long back. He must have seen this Shirish guy at a lot of parties etc. after RaOne comments .. also SRK has enough money and power to get the Shirish guy slapped from someone else .. then why would he all of a sudden start slapping him himself .. obviously something must have happened and SRK being only a human gave into the moment. No matter how much better we expect from him, our expectations don't make him a God or a Saint. He is an outsider in BW and inspite of so many people against him, he has always managed rivalary with good humor. There is no way that he would do something like this and embarass his kids for the heck of it.
