I dont want to be rude but Priyanka seems to like the "friends with benefits" formula. She never admits about her relationships be it Shahid, harman or akshay may be because she doesnt have one with them, just friends with benefits and that has made her terms rather ugly with most of them. But i dont judge her for this even if she does! I like her as an actor and she has a much broader horizon as an actor than katrina, kareena but unfortunately she doesnt pull crowd any more. That curiosity about her which was generated at the time of aitraaz is disappearing.

In a sense, she's right. Katrina has Salman Khan in her corner, Kareena is a Kapoor. Aishwarya is now the Bachchan bahu. Priyanka really has been the so-called outsider and when she bagged Fashion,Dostana and Kaminey she didn't have a crutch in the industry propping her up.

Now of course, she has SRK but what good is it really doing her?

But this year she is at it again..Agneepath is looking awesome..Barfee is looking Fab..lets c what films she will sign next..as of now she is gonna give a tough competetion to kareena this year..

Another thing is she was not over exposed like the other two(in films)..last year she had only 2 releases..now after agneepath she will have gap..

I dont know why she will promote Shahid though..Really i feel he is like a parasite..

Thats true, priyanka hasnt come up climbing on heroes or 'uncles' shoulders.

She proved her acting right from Andaaz and Aitraaz days.

She spoilt her chances by that episode with Akshay Kumar and has not

starred in any movie with him after that. Wives will not allow it, Im sure

she knows it by now. But has she disappeared? No. Just like Ash

did not disappear when SRK refused to work with her. Or when she

refused role in The Rising with Aamir.

There are rumours Salman tried to act fresh with PC during their movie

together. She obviously didnt reciprocate. Not that desperate.

Did she sink? No. she got better. No Akshay. No Salman but still going strong.

At the top.

She doesnt need Khans. Look at her endorsements. Top notch. Her ads

are the best crafted on tv. She doesnt do random stuff. No filmi family.

But she broke into the Karan Johar camp with Dostana. And it wasnt due to

SRK either.

As for her roles, she s done it all. Comedy. Dostana. Village belle. Kaminey.

Intense. Fashion.

priyanka just needs to keep her feet on the ground and not get carried away

with her emotions. she needs to know the tricks of the trade in the industry.

what harms her career what helps. she is not known to be a suck up. wont

sleep around. she got enough without that. she looks young and fresh and

her talent is only growing. If Agneepath and Barfee do well, who knows

what sky high level she wil touch. acfter all she has it all, looks, glamour

and talent.

I'd believe the whole "tough, talented hardworking did it all by myself" trope if only she wasn't doing what they all do and using sex and incessantly enhanced looks to draw sexual interest from men in power.

Yes, Katrina does the same to a point but Katrina seriously doesn't seem to basically LIVE to make men fall in love with her and give her her way. She doesn't play coy, giggling idiot while screeching out of the other side of her mouth how "tough" she is and how she "follows her dreams and makes them come true" One gets the feeling that Katrina's cosmetic tweeks are in the interest of keeping her career on track.

Unless PC's dream is to get the most powerful guy to schtoop her---I don't see hers in quite the same light.

I see a very pretty, immensely sexually insecure and scattershot girl who wants to pretend to be Pink or Lady Gaga or Madonna and present herself as a rebel woman who took the entertainment industry on her own terms.

Hell by those standards even Vidya Balan is more to the point than Priyanka, because for Priyanka taking the industry on HER terms can only apply if her terms mean fainting on sets from trying to maintain the no body, body image, screwing men to get roles and carving her face up like a thanksgiving turkey---even when she doesn't have to!!!!

Vidya refuses to bow to either the western clothing trend---thereby being TRUE to HERSELF...not just tweeting about it, but DOING it and her raison d'etre doesn't seem to be to make men want to "do" her..same with Kareena, though as an industry insider her situation is quite different and she doesn't have to try so hard.

And let's not forget Frieda Pinto who left the country to make her own luck-You want a choice that called for courage and strength?

And I'm sure Frieda really doesn't care if you don't like her, she's too busy jetting to fashion capitals, doing covershots for international magazines and fielding film offers but of course she's too much of a lady to eternally remind you she doesn't care. She's playing in the big leagues.
