Rohit Shetty on a heroine hunt

Director Rohit Shetty is having a tough time. Says a source close to him, "Ever since he has announced his next project Chennai Express with Shah Rukh Khan, he has had actresses and newbies vying to audition for the role of the lead actress.

Though he is in talks with Kareena Kapoor, nothing has been finalised yet (with Kareena's imminent marriage on the cards) and Bollywood's top actresses and newbies are calling Rohit to sign up as the leading lady. So now Rohit is in a quandary. Though he wants Bebo, he may opt for a completely fresh face as the character requires a young, raw girl and not a city sophisticate for the love story."

Outim 2 makers too keep reiterating that no actress has been signed yet.

Madhur is already fretting.

I am of the opinion that the Saifeena wedding will be postponed to next year.

Or Heroine will be a swan song. Glorious end to a fruitful career. I guess no one wants to gets into a situation like the Madhur-Ash saga.

Ra 1 music launch was such a give away. SRK was so pissed off with Bebo and Arjun Rampal as well and so were they with him. But then anything is possible in BW. Friends become foes, foes become friends. When Shahid-Priyanka, Ranbir-Deepika, Ranveer-Anushka can work together and put everything aside then SRK-Kareena can definitely work together.

Actually, the ball's in Kareena's court. Rohit's keen on casting Kareena, but seems like Kareena already has a pretty booked 2012.

Rohit Shetty's statement.

Said Rohit Shetty to koimoi.com, "I don't know from where the news about Kareena and Katrina surfaced. Frankly speaking, the role is just not meant for Katrina. As for Kareena Kapoor, I will definitely narrate her the subject once it is complete, but to insinuate that she has already been signed or even approached for the film is nothing short of reckless speculation."
