Shahid-Kareena: Love beyond arclights

Mumbai: What's really interesting about the real life couple, Shahid and Kareena, is not just their on-screen chemistry but also their off-screen chemistry, which seems far more entertaining.

Shahid and Kareena, who play each other's love interest in the film, turned up together at the wrap-up party of Priyadarshan's film Chup Chup Ke on Tuesday evening in Mumbai.

The entire cast of the film, including actors Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal and director Priyadarshan were also present at the party to promote their film.

But the couple seemed too involved with each other to register some questions put forth by media persons.

"You have to be specific with your question or we will just end up looking at each other," Shahid said, with Kareena by his side.

There was nothing to blush about her role in the film, but standing beside Shahid she coyly carried that off too.

At another question, he remarked: "I did not understand a word of what you just said." And Kareena couldn't help but giggle at her beau.

"I play a girl who can't talk. It is a love story between Shahid and me," she said.

Their first romantic film together, Fida, bombed at the box-office but the couple has two more films to prove their on-screen magic with - Priyadarshan's Chup Chup Ke and Subhash Ghai's 36 China town.

But regardless of the box-office results, the gripping love story continues long after the arclights are off.
